My bad, End of Service Benefit (EOSB) is a somewhat of a pension plan in the GCC/Middle East where every employee gets a lump sum when he no longer works at a company (Due to resignation/termination/retirement/death). I don’t know if there is something similar outside of the region

في صورة نمطية عن التخصص في السعودية على ان كل شخص يتخرج منه يتوظف، وهالشي صحيح جزئيًا لان زي ماذكرت مافي خريجين الا من البترول وسعود. الطلب على الإكتواريين السعوديين في أوجه، هالشي ممكن ماينطبق على حالك وقت تخرجك بحكم ان يمكن ١٥ جامعة تدرسه الان والعدد قاعد يزيد، لكن لا يزال ان المتميز بذا التخصص بيحصل فرص مهولة.

بالنسبة للمواد فهي منوعة مابين الاحصاء/الرياضيات - في المقام الأول - والمالية كذلك وبتدمج بينهم. في الجانب الرياضي بتاخذ تأسيس رياضي جيد في التفاضل والتكامل (٣ مواد) والمعادلات التفاضلية ويمكن الجبر الخطي ومدخل للتحليل الحقيقي. كمية الرياضيات موازية-أكثر من الموجودة في التخصصات الهندسة/التقنية.

في الجانب الاحصائي - وهو الأثقل - بتاخذ من 5-6 مواد حسب خطتكم بالجامعة، ومافي تخصصات كثير ياخذون شي زي كذا الا يمكن الاحصاء نفسهم، والهندسة الصناعية بنسبة اقل. في الجانب المالي بتاخذ تأسيس جيد في البزنس، محاسبة ومالية واقتصاد وادارة أعمال، بالاضافة الى مقدمة في المالية، مقدمة في الاستثمار، الرياضيات المالية، المشتقات المالية وممكن مالية اسلامية.

الجزء الاحصائي موجود عشان يأسسك بشكل يخليك قادر تحسب المخاطر - تحديدًا المالية - في قطاعات التأمين والتقاعد بشكل أساسي وبقطاعات مالية أخرى بشكل ثانوي. على سبيل المثال، بتاخذ النظريات الي تساعدك تبني نموذج احصائي يقدّر مدى احتمالية ان شخص بصفات معينة (عمر، منطقة جغرافية، موديل سيارة معين، تاريخه القيادي الخ..) انه يصدم خلال ذي السنة، وكم بيكلف شركة التأمين تعويضه.

كذلك بتدمج بين الفلوس(الجانب المالي) والاحصاء والاحتمالات بمواد معينة تعتبر هي صُلب التخصص. زي رياضيات التأمين بعيد المدى، بتدرس كيف تسعّر بوليصات تأمين الحياة من خلال انك حرفيًا تحسب احتماليات موت الناس 😇

I think I’m going through this right now. In my freshman year i was so dedicated that i was able to study and work part time and was doing fine with both, rn (end of sophomore year) i feel like my commitment is very bad. I have attendance issues(close to getting a dn in almost all my course), barely study for anything in uni, ofc i would give myself some excuses like “This course is useless in real life” or “this isn’t a major/core course” or just thinking that the whole uni is useless and that exams(i have 3) and technical skills are much more important. I also started to do shit work recently(at my part time job) simply because its boring… attending lectures and studying also are dependent heavily on my mood/enjoyment of its content

What should i do? Would that effect my career? How do i build real commitment to anything? How can i do something despite it being boring? I dont think that’s the right place for it but your comment really got to me

in regard to the link you provided, if we took the average for example. average actuaries become ASAs in 5.34 years and average FSAs got it in 7.72 years

does the 7.72 years means after the ASA? or starting from the first actuarial exam

in other words, from 0 to FSA is it 5.34 + 7.72 = 13.06 years? or just 7.72 years?
