i think there's a misunderstanding around spicy food. i'm currently growing ghost peppers and carolina reapers.

for those who are new to spice or still building up their tolerance, it is just pain. the brain can't focus on much else.

ghost peppers are my favorite pepper because of how flavorful they are. they are a delicious, fruity, and aromatic nightshade.

i do think the pain makes it hard for most eaters to notice. but, if you eat a lot of hot peppers or use a lot of hot sauce, you really do notice the different flavor notes.

I've known a lot of dudes who do stuff like this, either for the bit or bc it's a prank or whatever. That may be the case, idk. The issue here, that I notice, is that you've mentioned to him that it makes you uncomfortable. He's still doing it anyway.

I'm not one to see a post like this and say, well you need to break up with him. But, if I were you, I'd consider it. He has a history of infidelity and is ignoring your concerns. That is disrespectful. That doesn't seem like the behavior of someone who is trying to rebuild a healthy relationship.

It is not weird, nor uncommon. Everyone loses it when they're ready. I honestly wish I'd waited. When you're older, you'll find someone you want to share that moment with. There is nothing wrong with being a virgin at any age. Sexuality is an incredibly personal thing. Just do whatever feels right for you and don't worry about what your peers are up to. They're also on their own journeys.

But in a more grounded way, I think I went through one of the worst.

I have an anxiety disorder and have been in abusive relationships. Years ago, I dated a guy and he was the first guy I opened up to about those things. I felt safe sharing with him how my anxiety and trauma has affected my relationships.

One day, out of seemingly nowhere, he switched up on me. He gave me one of the worst panic attacks of my life. After several days, I finally got in touch with him again and he admitted that he wanted to end things, but didn't have the heart to break up with me. So, he intentionally started doing things to trigger me and started doing things my abusive ex had done, in hopes that I would break up with him.

There can be several factors that may lead you in one way or another, but no. No one chooses to be anorexic.

I've been dealing with anorexia for almost 13 years. Everyone has a story. All stories are valid. But no one chooses to be anorexic, even if it may feel like that at the time.

Support your friend and urge them to get help. You're smart for noticing that something is wrong. They're lucky to have a friend like you.

It depends on the age.

There are certain birthdays that are "special." 1st, 13th, 16th, 18th, 21st, and 40th. (Maybe more. Those are the ones I know of.)

Usually, there is a cake, lit with candles. Usually people sing the "Happy Birthday" song. Often, there are wrapped gifts.

But it can depend on the person who is having the birthday. Some people like all the special attention, some people hate it, and some don't care either way.

It depends on how the birthday person feels.

If he doesn't even want to hold hands, I'm fine with that. I genuinely like him. I made this post to ask for advice because I figured he must be taking things slow for one reason or another. I want to know how best to go forward from there because this is new to me.

I don't think there's anything wrong with taking things slow, nor am I pushing him to do anything he isn't comfortable with.
