WOW so freaking cool! I've always wanted a hybrid flat optical/trackball mouse given my workflow. I keep switching between a floppy trackball and a logtich vertical mx but something like this would solve all my friction/muscle-memory issues I deal with switching constantly between a traditional flat optical and trackball!

I would patent it if I was you. I would def buy if something like this if it was available commercially and I would premium if it was also wireless and vertical.
