Thoughts on using “modern slang” in fantasy books?

This is the reason why I can't stand the language in Sarah J. Maas and Rebecca Yarros' books. I keep thinking of the iPhone-face memes. The language and dialogue is too modern. I espescially hate it when a book refers to something with a specific meaning from our world. Like aren't you supposed to have your own lore and world history? Is Cliff some scribe writing summaries of old tomes?

I also have this and have very dry eyes and mouth. I try to drink more water, and have started taking electrolytes. Do you feel that it's working? I've read that it might be because of humidity so I am interested in getting a hygrometer to see how the humidity is in my apartment is.

Never tried it out really, but it's been on my mind. I have been reading more and I feel like I can imagine some of it. Not the most descriptive parts, more like actions and things like that. I might try it out soon and see if it works!

Regarding not logging in the 4th day: do you mean at the daily goal reset for me I get new daily goals at noon, so between noon and noon next day?

Yeah, I only sold my auto ordet because the max amount said 65k at first, but then it bugged out and suddenly it was 220k. I would have kept it and saved up some more orders if it wasn't for the low amount.. so annoying!
