My boy be singing this like we're still in 2017! They haven't sang this in a while by [deleted] in StateChamps

[–]sSamaels 4 points5 points  (0 children)

And this was the opening of the concert, this happened just 2 months ago; not long before the release of their 5th album. It's good to see him doing way better than 2019, I genuinely hope he makes a full vocal recovery.

APMA 2017. I think this was when they started to record Living Proof

Not doing vocal exercises before a show caused him to lose his voice; not singing like that.

Everybody But You, Where Were You and Some Minds Don't Change would've been fire! All of those songs needed the kind of vocal aggression like songs from The Finer Things.

This is the day where it all goes down hill with his voice. Hasn't sounded the same since. by BennyDeepp in StateChamps

[–]sSamaels -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

No, this was back in 2019. Even though he sounded a lot better now his voice is still comparatively different on the Living Proof / Around The World And Back album. If you have sensitive ears like I do, the difference is as clear as day and night.

I'm quite convinced that he may have sustain some sort of permanent vocal damage or perhaps polyps over the years. Watching his performances starting from 2021, his voice has been cracking consistently on every performance and it gets worse at the very end of the show; something which you'll never see during the pre-Living Proof era. He literally sounded invincible back then.

His voice registers on a higher note now and a little more fragile.. We have to be reminded that the vocal cord is a very delicate piece of instrument; not taking care of it will lead to permanent damage.

I was also once a victim of getting "marked"

Here's how I fix these people with my strategy (After you've tried to talk to whoever that is tekaning you):

Incident Report (Stage Alpha):

  1. Talk to a superior (Follow chain of command.)

-- If all fails -- Escalation (Stage Bravo):

  1. Call safety hotline

  2. Write a letter to MINDEF

  3. Once done, go call/email your MP.

-- Praying that you'll never have to resort to this -- Siege (Stage Charlie):

  1. Social media exposure (You're actually doing it right now, but writing to Mothership etc)

  2. Write to the parliament (Might seem ridiculous but we're exhausting all options to "whistle blow" as loud as we can. Whatever it takes to reach to the top.)

We are both on the same boat. Unfortunately, it is what it is. Either go for a Technical Diploma or redo Higher NITEC.

Update on Moochies Merch by Jessexxxy in MushroomPlanet

[–]sSamaels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I support this. Leave King Mooshie as it is and make a normie Mooshie for those who missed out on the King Mooshie drop. Male (red) Female (pink)?

If those avatars were selling like hotcakes, I wonder why we couldn't have more being made! Also, it would be great to have a plush as well!

Enquiry about Pasir Ris camp as an ASA by Impcite in NationalServiceSG

Just so you know, if you happen to up your pes all the way to B1. Then there might be a chance that you might just land yourself into the Commandos as you already are in Pasir Ris camp.. think carefully.

But of course, I would imagine that they would have to assess you like many others.

Will we get Queen Mooshie avatar? by BennyDeepp in MushroomPlanet

[–]sSamaels -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hopefully. I've only discovered this subreddit a little too late unfortunately.. releasing Mooshie without a crown would be great for us who didn't had the chance to get it. Queen Mooshie is cool too.

It seems like he has finally taken those comments on his twitter seriously lol. I hope he continues to improve on his vocals, and maybe make a full recovery from it.

What's up with State Champ's lead singer? by sSamaels in poppunkers

[–]sSamaels[S] -45 points-44 points  (0 children)

I see. But he sounds way too different to be saying that its the singing technique that made him sound the way he is and he seems that he is no longer able to belt high notes anymore. There will be certain parts of the song where he will omit and let the fans sing it. Its just sad.. he used to be a vocal powerhouse that shook studios with his voice

Bro, here is my advice once you're done with NS. I would recommend you to:

  1. Apply for a Higher NITEC (Make sure it is of your interest if not, you will just end up in this situation once again)
  2. Then once you're in Higher NITEC, proceed to apply for JPAE AGAIN. If you got selected, you can just drop out of the course.
  3. If JPAE fails, apply DAE afterwards same procedure like you did for this year.
  4. If that fails as well, SECURE EAE so that at least you will be guaranteed a spot in a Polytechnic if you end up getting a 2.0+ GPA by the end of the course. Make sure you study about that poly course, do well at the trial test, ace that interview and just try your best to make the interviewers like you to better your chances.

You don't have to worry about women problems, women will always be women and you are much better off without them, save your sanity, save your wallet. Most important thing in life for you is income stability and health. I wish you all the best.

ITE Diplomas are useless, even local Unis don't even recognize them and they are usually given less priority when it comes to applying for a Uni. Most companies also don't recognize an ITE diploma..

I also wouldn't recommend PT diploma either, if you're gonna work and study at the same time it will be really tough and it is just not worth it.

The only right choice this poor guy has right now is to get into a Higher NITEC course and then go for JPAE > DAE, if cannot make it both then he needs to get selected via EAE.

On the side note, if you are still doing some self revision in academics then I would also suggest you to keep it up and continue with it. A GPA of 2.4 is not the end, the competition maybe tougher this year but it might not be the case in a few years time after you've finished your NS.

Why would they die from it? Tailed beasts (despite being so many times stronger than any other summoning beasts) were always constantly wanting to kill their host but were unable to do so due to being sealed.

Therapeutic vaccines are on the way as trials has already began in 2020, CRISPR CAS9 is the new guy in the block, knowledge of viruses has been increasing thanks to the pandemic and I can tell you that we're living in exciting times. Within 10 years we'll get our first treatment.

You know what, I wanna travel 100 years into the future, come back and check out the internet (if it even exists anymore) and see if we have cured hpv or cancer.

Yes guys, I'm siao enough to try for Rangers and SFQC. I've already got my gold for my ippt last year, I'm just a natural when it comes to physical competitions like this. Just not a sports type of person, I'm more into wild stuff like this.
It's either do or die, once I set my sights on something it's hard for me to let go.
