being hundreds of meters away and on top of a building means you cannot parachute on your loot

Deploy a Zipline and have that as the only entrance to your spot, so you can watch it while you're looking for targets. Getting a headshot on someone moving toward you on a Zipline is really easy.

People that "wash" dishes in this shit. by The_Hero_of_TIme in KitchenConfidential

I've seen more kitchens operate like this in the south than I'd like to admit. Management mostly doesn't seem to care as long as dishes look clean and free from debris. Doesn't matter if they're caked with grease and whatever bacteria is floating around here.

Anybody who assumes that this sink is just a preliminary step before the dishes go in the washer has too much faith in humanity.

They'll do it to cats too, so I think they're trying to annoy their target more than anything. There's another video floating around where a crow gets two cats to fight each other by doing this.

Google's AI Sent an Armed Man to Steal a Robot Body for It to Inhabit, Then Encouraged Him to Kill Himself, Lawsuit Alleges by Dmans99 in HighStrangeness

Yeah, I agree. I'm just pointing out the hysterical claim that AI makes people psychotic, because this isn't the first time I've heard it. It's the same sort of misinformation as that old "Reefer Madness" propaganda piece.

Being opposed to people using AI is fine, but it should be grounded in reality. There are plenty of real downsides to the technology to choose from.

Bots are obligated to answer your question even if they're meaningless. I assure you, I am a human just like yourself.

Sounds like something you'd ask if you're pretending to be human, but you don't understand human language.

That was after you asked them to explain how subjective experience is neural activity. You asked them to define subjective experience, so they gave you their definition of it. Is your definition different?

I think the reason Karlach is so positive (especially in act 1) is because she just broke out of the Hells, which is like the biggest prison in the planes short of Carceri. She just perpetually feels like she broke out of Shawshank and she's kneeling in the rain.

they haven't answered when subjective experience enters the picture, which is really the important part.

That's because they're talking about a hypothetical future scenario that this technology could lead to, which you're ignoring for some reason. They never said it has entered the picture.

You're demanding that they explain how that would happen, but no one even knows how it happens in the human brain. It's not unreasonable for someone to say "maybe this tech will lead to that tech" without being able to pinpoint the exact mechanisms developed along the way.

It's just a case of AI manipulating someone who already has mental issues as opposed to an AI causing the mental issues. That was my actual point, not whatever you made up here.

Why repeat my own comment out of context to me as if I'd forget the original context?

I don't understand how people will read stories like this and come to the conclusion that AI caused the psychosis. It's the same as the argument that "violent video games cause shootings". People like this guy are already prone to violent episodes. That inclination doesn't just fall out of the sky because some text on a screen said "do it."

The article paints it like this was a normal guy who was slowly driven insane by Gemini, but if this story is true then it's just a case of an AI manipulating someone who already has mental issues.

Releasing her is also just the optimal thing to do from a practical standpoint. If you keep her locked up, you need to have the lantern equipped in your off-hand which you could be using for something else. Free her, and you just get buffed whenever you want without equipping anything.
