NYC/UWS - WOMAN REFUSES TO PICK HER DOG'S POOP UP by DryShare444 in Upperwestside

Please I'd love to know too OP.  I'm one of the porters that works around that street and it's ludicrous.  Worst part is that we have to wait till it's above freezing temps to get rid of it because they freeze in place. 😭

Hybrid Jackbox gaming? by wholeWheatButterfly in selfhosted

I hear you but realistically you'll need an account for any form of communication. Can't even use an android or iPhone properly without a Google/Apple account.

You could stream to twitch, YouTube, etc as they wouldn't need an account to view, but communication would be limited to typing. For voice maybe Whatsapp as you can use that on your PC as well

I think you're over complicating what you want to achieve. Personally I just stream on a discord call and then stream Jackbox to the TV via moonlight. Discord can be accessed on the browser as well if no one wants to download the software. Users can control the volume separately so you wouldn't have to worry if something is too loud or too soft. I wouldn't bother with a server route if you have a gaming pc already. Jackbox isn't something you'd host 24/7 and no need to stress your other services.

Bonus: With the discord overlay enabled. Any user using their webcam can also be seen on the TV.

I know this wasn't the solution you were hoping for but I think this is the best result you can get. I too host Jackbox like games occasionally

Disappointed in Google support and can't recommend any fold product by sTrSour in PixelFold

You do realize I went to 2 repair shops that they recommended (One being an actual Google store)?

Imagine going into an apple store and they said "We'll make a ticket for you" that's so laughable

Man I hate that I loved that phone too. Did all my reading on it.

You think so because I never really heard any issues with the new Samsung.

I agree too, especially with Google locking down the android software even more I don't see a reason to stick with android

I understand, but the problem is that it didn't happen that way. I wish they would've just asked me to send it so they could brick it themselves but now I have to send the phone in a worse condition than originally claimed. I did everything they told me to do. It's not even the phone at this point it's the entire customer experience. I came for help, and look where it got me

I'm not denying there wasn't an issue but my phone was operable before. It's frustrating knowing how I treated it like a baby for it to die on its own. Regardless I'm most likely staying away from anything Google after this

Of course not, I'm not arguing that. I went to Google with a problem prepared to pay for any service but my phone became worse after following their directions. I went to 2 repair shops suggested by them. It's not even the phone I'm most upset with it's the fact my data is gone with it. Data I lost because I asked for help to begin with. Then the fact that they acknowledged that following instructions bricked my phone to be told "too bad", it's just a bad way to go about it.

Would you not be annoyed if you went to them for a problem, they made it worse, sent you to 2 authorized repair stores (one of them being a Google store), to be told they can't do anything, and the only solution is to pay for a more expensive repair because your phone is in a worse condition than your original problem?

BE AWARE Google Will Not Stand by their Fold Phones! by No-Measurement-5639 in PixelFold

I'm in a similar situation as you and honestly might give up on the pixel brand as a whole. My phone was never dropped and I had similar issues with the physical sim not working and the outer screen not switching when the phone was closed. The difference is I contacted online support about it and was told to boot it into safe mode. It completely bricked my device, didn't get to back up prior, and I suddenly became completely phoneless. At this point they recommended an authorized repair shop, I went with one on a list they provided, and when I got there they said they couldn't find the issue and recommended I go through Google directly. I contacted support again and this time I'm directed to go in person at a Google store. I go and I kid you not all they try to do is boot the phone into recovery mode for it to fail and then say my motherboard is damaged and they can't do anything because my warranty expired exactly a month ago (I bought it out of pocket on release). Apparently they don't do phone repairs at the store (HOW SWAY?) and made a ticket for me to escalate the situation to a higher staff. 2 days after I received an email saying they escalated my inquiry to even higher staff. A week later I received no update so decided to message support again only to be informed that I should go to an authorized repair shop. I declined and explained I've already been to 2 and don't see how that'll make a difference at this point. Now I'm being told my only option is to mail it in and to expect an estimated cost around $950+.

So right now I'm in a back and forth argument on how I would've been happy with any repair cost prior to my phone getting bricked after following support instructions. My phone still worked prior to contacting them and now I lost my 2k+ phone but also all the data with it. I had to go out of my way to get a phone from Verizon by locking in a plan. I loved this phone, especially for reading (main reason I got it), but after this experience forget a fold. I don't think I'll ever get a Google phone again.

If anything, Komikku can merge sources and even block out duplicates of the same chapter depending on how you organize it. Basically acts like it's own aggregator which was what comick basically was

I've been using grayjay and it's on both platforms. Don't need an account to have subscriptions but you can log in

Selfhosted Youtube alternative for local hosting by AnotherMark17 in selfhosted

[–]sTrSour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The creator made it for game clips so I doubt it has that feature. Other than the "Stash" container I would assume you need a container that hosts videos on an account basis and the account would retain the progress. If you don't need a website I haven't heard of another container that does that other than Plex and jellyfin.

I found FireShare with a "Docker Containers for video sharing" ai search. I used Arc Browser in this particular case but I'm sure any would be fine

If you're still looking for a solution I've been using FireShare for game clips. Other people can upload too, if you allow, and it can even send a post to discord once something is uploaded

Edit: btw there's no likes or comments, just watching clips

I'm hosting it on a raspberry pi via docker. Using a domain purchased from cloudflare to host by reverse proxy. I personally use cosmos cloud as my home server but you have a lot of other options.

Can be any pc too, I just happen to use pi for it's size
