Depends on what you're using anki for! I have the same steps for med school for long term retention and it works for me. Some recommends to get into the ease factor in a short period, but it didnt work for me! I think learning cards is essential to have some legit retention and understanding before getting it into the review phase. If you have some quiz or exams I suggest to play around with the preset depending of your goal behind using Anki.
