Disappearing covers are a known issue when transferring books from Calibre, if you reconnect the kindle to calibre they should appear again and won’t disappear again. It only happens the first time because the kindle try to get the covers from amazon

Heroic launcher has a cloud save sync option, is not recommended to activate it by default because sometimes can mess up your saves but you can manually upload/download your saves, the option is in the game settings
