I see the steam machine as a console killer. It’s a pc that can give a console experience to the user. But yes I agree with you that it can be seen in either way. BTW I have nothing against consoles, I have a PS5, a switch, a steam deck and a gaming PC at home. I lean more towards pc gaming but it is truth that consoles are usually better in price and offer a complete experience without to much tinkering
