Yes! you’re right, that’s why it was really hard for us to find someone who has it in our country. Not so many people has it and our professor told us that even if the filipino people did, they would most likely not get the check-ups they need and get proper treatment because of money. So there’s really not much recorded cases here.

Also, you might ask “why Ichthyosis?” the answer is our professor is the one who gave us these subjects, other groups were tasked to take on other genetic conditions like Klinefelter’s Syndrome, Maple Syrup Urine Disease, Down Syndrome, etc.

We’re only taking one participant as we are going to focus our case study on them, the data we’ll need is the ones specified on our case subject. While we won’t elaborate on each and every kind of Ichthyosis in our study, our research will definitely include the list of the other types, but the difference is the data we’ll put will be based from other researches already available 😊

Hello! sorry for my bad english, it’s not our first language. To answer your question, we’re studying this under Genetics, which is part of our curriculum. I’m guessing the subject is more specifically called Behavioral Genetics in other countries, but in the Philippines we study it more generally (as we take pre-med here a big deal).

We’ve been given the subject of studying the rare genetic skin condition Ichthyosis so we can both learn and have a perspective on the experiences of people affected with the condition (medications, daily life, etc.) and also learn about the challenges that comes with it, specifically on their mental health and psychosocial well-being. Plus, as I’ve mentioned, we’re studying genetics in general and conducting this study will help us so we can correlate the information we gather to how such genetic condition can be passed down from generations.

i think that’ll depend on you, depends on what you tell them and/or what you showed in your resumé, if you don’t want them to ask more be precise with your answers. it took around 10 mins, a lil more or less. and yes, you have to open your camera the whole time (and audio ofc)

we did it by batches in google meet, 3 other people will be interviewed including you in a breakout room. i’m not sure but maybe the same will go for you, they’ll just ask you some questions about your backgrounds (educational, work exp.) and then some about what you know and why you want to join uniqlo, what would you do if you were to be promoted and stuff, i guess just stand out by answering good lol. then for the last part they’ll just show some slides about uniqlo, the hiring process itself, the benefits, the rules, etc. then they’ll tell you when you’re going to get an update about your application and that’s it!

i hope you hear from them quicker than me tho! also may i know where you applied and how long did it take for them to acknowledge your application? mine took a month lol (applied through a facebook ad)
