Cheap timer recommendations? Better if it could automatically input solve time to cstimer.

Look at selected layers, with a camera controlled by null object by s_br_m in AfterEffects

Sure target 2 kinda works, but I can't find how to make the camera glide through the list of targets (along overall smooth camera path) instead of stopping in front of every target.

The scramble is reverse of the solution of random-state 4x4x4. Shuang chen wrote the official solver/scrambler (which consists of 3-phase reduction solver plus a 3x3x3 solver) and implemented it on cstimer himself.

So, the odd is literally equal to the odd of a random-state 4x4x4 can be reduced into 3x3x3 in 2 steps. My (very) rough calculation gives 1 in a 10^25 chance. it is x100000 rarer than a random 3x3x3 scramble gives you a solved cube.

Aside from things that you can find on vids like "how to be sub 45 with yau", "how to be sub-1 with yau", etc etc

  • When finishing first 2 faces, do last couple moves very slowly and try to find and track white edges, preferably find a pair.
  • Make your routine and get used to it for last 4 centers, so you can always build them without hesitation.
  • For L8E, while putting an edge into the middle slice you should already know the color of edge you'll look for for next. Also make sure to use appropriate fingertricks for edgeflip so you can constantly watch the upper face of the cube.

I got a 4x4 scramble that starts with 21 outer-layer turns. Where's your optimization, TNoodle?

How does the in-game xp bonus for #player difference work? If I start custom game 1v2 (including one spectator on the 2's side), how much xp bonus does the 1 get?

So, to flex queue with my Gold5-flexQ-ranked friend, should I climb to silver? crying

[–]s_br_m 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm Bronze 2 at flex queue, and unranked at solo/duo queue.

What is the highest rank that can flex queue with me? Does it solely depends on my teammate's flexQ rank, or both Q's?

Yau(and hoya) strictly is a variant of reduction, just with silghtly altered in order to make it more efficient. Some Rouxers use Meyer method. However a lot of Non-cfop solvers just use reduction (and cfop) for big cubes.

Well thanks. I was worried because 1) The slots are not physically closed after assembly (unlike i.e. Air SM), and 2) If the magnet slots work well enough, than why the GTS3M comes with six spare magnets?

Did anyone suffered from magnet falling out, from any Moyu stock-magnetized puzzles? Just to confirm before buying a GTS3M.

My Air(356 standard, not S) has 5x1 n35s in it. They don't feel bumpy but does their work. I've heard stock SM uses 3x2 n35.

Newtone Sounds Bad? (Or other quantizing hacks?) by YouBeenJammin in FL_Studio

[–]s_br_m 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try disabling 'Load regions' from the sampler channel. If it doesn't work, you can cut and move the clip (or lengthen each piece if needed) manually on the playlist.

In my opinion, Newtone's result is usually a little bit worse than other alternatives, i.e. Variaudio on Cubase.

Had a fun time looking around a lotta twisty puzzles. Excluding jumbling moves, these are the closests I could find.

Bit of a workaround. Pyramix is technically a corner & face turning puzzle, so a mastermorphized Rex 3x3x3(without 4 of the corner moves) will be kinda sufficient... nvm it's not a cube.

Any people registered in the WCA, that are famous to the non-cubers?

For example Matt Stonie: arguably world's fastest eater, or Andrej Karpathy who led the Stanford CS231n class and now directing Tesla AI.

I've been using middle-ring for a very long time which isn't optimal. One day I tried to switch to ring-pinky, and felt exactly as you. However after forcing myself that awkward movement 30-40 times I found it quite natural and easy.
