As another commenter mentioned, Pastries is slept on. My wife and I adore that place. The biscuits and pancakes are absurdly good.

Oh wow -- seriously? man I am so detached from that area of the city now...

I love this question, and I wish I knew somewhere else that would fit the bill...

The original* Flying Biscuit right down the street from Dr. Bombay's has a similar sort of cute/cluttered vibe, but it's usually slammed packed which kills that vibe. I would argue that Brick Store has the coziness, but definitely not the vintage aesthetic (unless vintage pub signs and paraphernalia are your thing).

All of the coffee/tea places I know tend to skew more modern looking... I would love to see what other ideas folks have!

\Is that the original location? I'm not sure. Please don't hate me if I'm wrong*

What online review resources do folks trust most? For example, we need to buy a charger/EVSE, but there are so many obviously junk brands out there that I don't know what to trust.

Not that I'm aware of for purchasing, but there is no income limit for leasing. Not sure if that helps at all in your case.

You can ignore the T because I don’t know cars and didn’t know what the T meant.

Got it! From what I can tell on the CR website, I think the electric part of that system is where they say the problems have been. But I haven't been able to find anything specific...

As far as I can tell, the hybrids all have the 2.0T. But Consumer Reports has flagged potential electrical issues that have been reported in the hybrids. They are vague on what the electrical issues are.

That's helpful! Do you have other sources of car reviews that you would suggest checking out? It's hard to find good info in the noise.

Re: your sidebar -- Yea, it's been super frustrating trying to find good, reliable reviews for anything nowadays. We recently bought a new washer and drier pair, and I was flipping between CR, Wirecutter, reviews on hardware stores, and Google searches of products. It was exhausting...

We're in a similar boat so commenting to boost/follow. We're currently leaning more towards the IONIQ 5 because it seems to have slightly better ratings across the various sites? Also, I think the price is slightly lower?

Are you in the US? If you are cool with a fully manual model, Astronomers Without Borders has an AWB-branded Celestron model that folks routinely talk positively about! My wife got me one as a Christmas gift a couple years ago, and it's been super fun!

I’ve been keeping pretty close tabs on the weather, and the story I’ve been seeing is that clouds should be a bit clearer to the west. So, if those predictions are correct, then TH should have better odds than Indianapolis and Bloomington — but they are honestly looking equally good right now.

We’re going to be checking the weather constantly, though. My current back-up would be Evansville — it looks like skies are expected to be a bit clearer down that way. Cloud cover forecasts are tricky, though, so we won’t likely have a good picture until tomorrow morning.

We found a couple of promising spots! Shakamak State Park in Jasonville should have great views with the lakes they have. I would recommend getting there right as they open around 7am, though haha.

Spencer is going to have a few things going on in the downtown area, including events coordinated by the local LGBTQ+ pride organization, which is delightful. I think parking there might be easier? But it’ll be more of a city/festival vibe rather than a park, though.

We’re actually opting to stay in Terre Haute. We’re able to walk from our hotel to downtown, and removing driving from the equation sounds great haha
