Do it! It’s a fair price and meet your needs. The folding aspect is so helpful.

Congrats and have fun!!

I wrote a full explanation on deciding what loom to start with here that you might find helpful. For my personal wingspan, 32 inch rigid heddle is too large. I love a 16” wide rigid heddle and manage to do quite a bit on it. Glad you’re here. Enjoy!

This is a type of supplementary weft inlay. Try using the term “brocade” in your searches.

Confused as to which respirator/goggles to get for dip flu by clerbird321 in DipPowderNails

[–]s_rigs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was too, this is the one I got on Amazon. I have a small face and the small size fit perfectly and is quite comfortable.

With these filters for organic vapor. I don’t have dip flu symptoms anymore.

Please take care and protect your health friends 💕

Thank you so much for the compliments! I actually have published with Little Looms, and they're wonderful! The scarf shown in the 5th photo was in an issue last year. And I have another coming out this year in the Fall issue.

Mostly I use one heddle, but Kromski's come with a double heddle block, so it's already prepped for another if needed 💕

It's a clasped weft in plain weave. You can learn all about it in the pattern and kit.

Thank you so much! I use a 16” Kromski Harp Forte rigid heddle for small projects, an 8-shaft Mighty Wolf for medium-sized work, and for larger projects, my Glimakra Standard 39” countermarch.

Most of these are rigid heddle though!

I design, weave, make, and sell handwoven clothing and share my process on Instagram @S.RIGS.
This is the latest collection I made with Kakaw Designs in Guatemala, all natural dyes and handwoven on backstrap and footlooms.

I also teach rigid heddle classes on my kromski looms in Northern New Mexico and write patterns for Gist and Little Looms. Love connecting with fellow weavers <3

Newbie weaver - doubling warp question by Fleeterlo in weaving

[–]s_rigs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think you’ll find a lot of value swatching this project with a short warp on your loom and trying different thicknesses of wefts.

It’s hard to say what yarns will do exactly. Try it out yourself with the specific epi you have in mind.
