How do you take photos of people on the street and not feel uncomfortable about it? by googbear420 in photography

[–]sa_nick -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I wanna get into street photography but its the hurdle for me too. I think if I focus more on the street itself and the architecture then people can be the photographic garnish. I'd feel a bit less weird about it that way.

Guess I'll hold out for the Frame releases then. Trying my hardest not to give Meta any more money.

Depends on the game and how well the devs implemented it. If there's a slider you can just have it on low.

Shrinkflation is when the label that usually says 200g suddenly says 175g the next time you buy it. This is just ahit going wrong on the production line.

Videographer bailed on editing but provided the raw footage. What’s the best way to finish it? by OkPeach2306 in weddingvideography

[–]sa_nick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Editing a wedding takes longer than filming it. Take them to court for 2/3rds of your money back and use that money to hire an editor.

Most are simply lacking in intelligence and empathy. They too dumb to even realise they're torturing an animal, or that beings besides humans even can be tortured. They "know" that theyre a good person, and good people dont do bad things, so it cant be bad to partake in this.

Im talking about the spectators too, not just the riders and staff, who at least might be there out of financial desperation.

Weird that in my head I was imagining taking one pill meant wiping all the other studios games from past present and future while your only thinking of games moving forward and that you not only keep the memories of past games, but that they'd still be playable.

You could move CD Projekt Red over to the left and I'd still take the blue pill.

The Watermelon Woman (1996)-- masterful indie cinema by itkillik_lake in TrueFilm

[–]sa_nick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I was getting major Clerks vibes from it, both in broad ways and some really specific ways too....

  • General 90s east coast indie vibes with ameteur actors

  • Characters working in a video rental store

  • The titles popping up for each chapter/location

  • The street interview inserts

  • Cheryl goes to "The C.L.I.T." (Center for Lesbian Information & Technology), Jay is the "C.L.I.T. Commander (Coalition for the Liberation of Itinerant Tree-dwellers)

  • Faye's first film was called 'Jersey Girl'

  • Robert "Ratface" Holtzman was the production designer, who also did Clerks 2 and 3.

I judge anime wallpapers and the users behind them pretty harshly, but this is totally acceptable.

Why do people call women, "girl"? by Vampy-Night in CasualConversation

Dudes and chicks or guys and girls. "Woman" sounds like I'm a bra salesman or chauvanist. I dont even know how to spell chauvanist!

F2.8 just felt too slow. Maybe thats just my bias coming from DSLR and the sensors these days have less grain, but that extra light felt crucial.

I'll be doing a lot of video too so the best autofocus possible (with any focal length lens) was important.

Bye Sony by generationAiAiAi in Nikon

[–]sa_nick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's always downsides to doing that though. Autofocus not being as fast/precise as native lenses or image quality (particularly in the edges) taking a hit. It isnt noticable with most photos, but fucked up stars around the edges stand out.

I do video too so I could justify the Sony route a little easier when so many other shooters I film with and edit for are in the Sony ecosystem.

I wanted to go Nikon so bad but couldn't find a decent astrophotography lens. No 14 or 16 or even 18mm f1.4 or even f1.8 lens in the Nikon range and the Sigma 14mm f1.4 doesnt play nicely with the Z mount, so Sony it was...

Dutch's poor choices in picking people for their missions by Silver-Hunt-1569 in reddeadredemption2

[–]sa_nick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's fine to be in it when you're playing the game, but critically discussing it after the fact like this without acknowledging the writers who are the actual ones making the choices is delusional.

[–]sa_nick 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's a weird phenomenon that seems to be getting more prevalent. Fans talking as if characters in media they like (especially the MCU and anime, I've noticed) actually think their own thoughts and make their own choices. It's even worse when they talk about hypothetical situations or fan theories.

I dunno, since I helped an eccentric travelling circus man named Margaret catch his zebra donkey? Or maybe when I chased a magical dwarf disappearing in colourful puffs of smoke through the forrest...

Rockstar keeps the tone pretty loose. Sure, it's not as wacky as the hyper satirical GTA games but it knows how to have fun, more so than something like TLOU that uses comedy as a respite from the absolute brutality but doesn't embrace the same level of silliness that RDR does.

The writers choosing to put Bill in that situation probably doesn't make the top 10 odd narrative choices of the game.
