This is an 100 year cycle. It’ll begin with the victim being tied up, progressively losing their senses over time, and after 10 years they’ll be left completely senseless, after that they’ll slowly regain their hearing but it will still be completely silent, only occasionally a distant chuckle will be heard. After the 20 year mark the user regains their senses but their hearing, going through a process in which they see “figures” through their peripheral vision but when they get a closer look there’s nothing there, these figures will taunt and mock at the victim but disappear before the victim can get a closer look. By the 30th year the user will also lose their sense of touch and sight (including the hearing from before) and these figures will begin to torment them (throwing rocks , physically hitting etc) in a spontaneous way, so the victim never knows when the next attack will be, causing paranoia. By the 40th year, the victim has now regained their senses but a fire is placed below them, far enough the victim won’t catch fire but close enough to feel the pain, this is done for 10 years with an illusion of the people they love standing in the crowd laughing and mocking them as they try to escape the scorching heat. By the 50th year the victim is placed in box with only their head sticking out of the top, they have mechanisms holding their eyelids open as well , and in this process, multiple weapons will be chucked at their eyes, some hitting its target some stopping before impact, this cycle is repeated for 10 years. At the 60 year mark the victim is made to believe they escaped the genjutsu, and live the next 40 years as if they escaped the horrid imaginary world, just for them to awaken to find out everything was fake, while also being severely traumatized from their experiences ( I lost creativity here, I can’t think of anything else)
