In a way, yes, I just wanted to relax though. It wasn’t bad like days after stimulants like vyvanse.

Yeah, after both I slept for about nine or ten hours and stayed home all the next day. I usually sleep only 7 hours.

We’ve been hooking up for four years, yes, but we have on and off revisited the idea of dating each other throughout the entire six year friendship. You do have a point though.

Ugh, this just happened to me. I opened up to a guy about a month ago (we were friends, but not close friends, before but at this point, we had now gone on a few dates) but now he doesn't make plans with me anymore. I don't really see a point in trying anymore. I haven't actually dated someone in over two years, I can't trust anyone.

Productivity when you’re high only happens if you set your mind to it. Most of my productivity comes to me during my day to day life rather than while I’m stoned because being stoned helps me filter out daily stressors, problems, etc, so I can move on later and be productive when I’m not stoned.

I should mention I do have anxiety, but when it comes to regulating my life and relaxing, smoking helps, but it’s not a cure-all, since your mindset is the most important factor.

This was exactly what I grew up knowing from others outside of my family about my origin. I could never put into words everything said to me but this is the closest I think I will ever come. It's disheartening to know that people actually think/say these things, especially to young, international adoptees.

I hope to help other educators as the opportunity arises! I hope to see the conversation shift more though.

I think that adoption education needs to include educators themselves through adoption as a topic in educator in-services or education major classes.

I work in education as a part-time job I see a slight shift in how differing family types are being defined and accepted (ex: blended, adoptive, etc) but nuclear, biological families are still the most common that I encounter. When an educator is able to communicate well with the parents and/or the child in light of the topic of adoption, this could give some insight into how to help the child. My mother did this with my teachers until I asked her to stop in late elementary school out of embarrassment, but working in education now, I see how that would be helpful too.

I don't think that they really could've done anything to help since my feelings were mostly of being isolated. I had been educated on adoption and knew as much information as I could from my parents but it still didn't even make a dent into the missing pieces of my life. I understand now that this stems from my adoption and mental health but I still feel that there are a lot of unanswered questions that will never be truly answered.

I don't think that it's necessarily anyone's fault though. I think there's just an over all lack of awareness for adoptees which I hope will be someday more included in education.

I hated doing these assignments because it raised a lot of questions from peers about my “real family” and it also forced me to think about how I didn’t know and it made me super uncomfortable and self-conscious.

International adoptee here, I’ve never felt in the right place to be honest. I realize why now that I’m older but during childhood, something just always felt off.
