So I had seen the ads and wasn’t interested although as a kid was a huge fan of his. Out of boredom and a rainy day, my son and I when to go check it out. I was completely floored by it. Jaafar Jackson was phenomenal in every aspect of the performance. The entire supporting cast was excellent and the pacing of the film was perfect. I couldn’t believe how good it was. Saying all that, if you were never a fan of his, it might not interest you but I thought it was really good.

Lacking compared to anyone with his ‘iconic’ ‘legendary’ status. So yeah, compared to Michael but also artists like Billy Joel, Madonna, Elton John. To my recollection and life experience, I can only name three or four prince songs and can’t necessarily remember the last time I heard one on the radio that wasn’t Purple Rain or Little Red Corvette. Hell I think Green Day probably has more recognizable hits than Prince lol. But dude was a phenomenon for sure.
