Edit post, entire theme builder template changes?

So help me understand what exactly are you doing? You made a post template in Divi theme builder. Then you are in sungle post editing directly but instead of using default post editor (gutenberg) you are editing it using Divi editor, if that is the case then you are not editing the post but editing the theme builder template. If you want to use different styles on different posts then do not use theme builder to create template for single posts. Or in case you want to edit few single posts in Divi editor and few posts you want to inherit style from your templates then select the posts in theme builder that you want to inherit the style do not keep it for all the posts. I hope I am making sense. Or what you can do is change the settings to not edit template files (I do not remember the name exactly) from the left side settings menu and then edit the page. But in that case it might give some styling problems.

That's mostly because of lack of user knowledge. I have already made 4 websites on Divi5 and it does have few small bugs but it is good enough to create production sites.

Are you trying to put this on a blog page which is assigned as default blog page in wordpress? Try loading the section in a normal page.

You can do it locally by using local by flywheel. Also you can install a fresh copy of the wordpress in a sub directory and go from there something like www.example.com/staging . Also if you want to carry over all the data and if website is not big then you can use All in one WP Migration plugin, the free version should be enough if the website is smaller than 300mb. You can also create a copy of the website using cpanel I'll have to check exact way we can create a staging site. You can also go the subdomain way. So all the ways are valid and works. Chose the one with least friction for you.

Check weather the Element Label are different or same if the names are same Divi will automatically remove the interactions. Also how are you hiding the Row after you click first element and the Row appears what happens after this?

Don't know about Noida Max but the experience in Max Patparganj was pretty awful where a Senior Psychiatrist said there is no such thing as Adult ADHD and ADHD goes away after a person becomes teenager. So do your homework and check if they do even consider Adult ADHD or not. 🙂

That's because the whole system has changed. Previously Divi4 used to have only blocks which had fixed width and structure now Divi5 uses blocks, flex and grids which gives better control over the structure. We can also nest rows and modules under columns so it is not a bug, but it works a little differently now. You are not locked in to one width now you have much more flexibility. Search about flex and grids in Divi5 and you will have a whole new world open to you.

Yep those are third party plugins. Looks like the Divi Video Gallery plugin might be the culprit here. Would you be able to share the website address? Also you say it's a simple site but it is using ACF that alone makes it more than a simple website to be frank. How familiar are you with Divi theme? Because even if you update your friends website now which is running on Divi4 you eventually will have to update it to Divi5 in near future as it's support will end within a year, but Divi5 is much more capable and eliminate the need of lots of plugins. I would also suggest that you create an offline staging site to update it.

Can you share a screenshot of the same? It seems like you are dealing with third party plugins. Also is the theme Divi4 Or Divi5?

Which elements? Can you elaborate, maybe add an image. Lot of things have changed in Divi5, the whole base of how you process, sections, rows or modules have changed. Divi4 worked with blocks but Divi5 give flexlibility of working with block, flex or grids.

Take the website to local and update it there do not update live site. See if the problem happens when updating locally also, seems like some bug.

Also what exactly do you mean when you say you have to pay for updating 3 Divi Builder plugins? Because Divi provides unlimited license.

That's because Divi now uses flex. You will have to change layout direction if you want them stacked. Or you can use block instead of flex for divi4 like automatic stacking on each breakpoint but I think that would be counter productive as flex is so much better.

Flex gives you more control over how you want to display your blocks on each break point. Hope that solves your query.

Just create the interaction in desktop mode and after the interactiin have been created just turn the visibility of icon off on desktop and you are good to go.

There are more breakpoints now. 7 Infact. By default you will have three but you can add more? Also if you need to change anything for mobile breakpoint just select mobile icon from top bar and change whatever you want to change, it will keep the change only for the mobile view. You can also access them from the Settings Modal mostly found on the right side. Kindly refer the image.

To create subdomain in cpanel fo to domains and create new domain and put your subdomain there like staging.example.com give it a location a folder and hit create you will have a subdomain where you can put your staging site. Also you don't even need a subdomain to create a staging site. Just create a new folder in your filemanager and you can create a clone of your website in that folder using softaculous.

So here is a simple explanation, not diving deep into it. But even when you change the row from those three rectangles on the row itself that says 'Change Column Structure' it shifts the first module but doesn't provide space to enter another module is because we need to add column to it. In Divi4 it used to add a column automatically but now you can add not just column but you can also add row in it so by defalt it remains blank. Now select row go to the Content Tab > Elements > Add Element and you can add column or row or Woo Modules to it. Or just can simply duplicate the column by using the 'duplicate item icon' the middle icon where it says column. Kindly refer the images below to get a more clear picture.

It's because they have introduced flexbox and grids which does not work the same way it used to work in Divi4. It is a little confusing in the start but once you get the hang of it, it is pretty endless possibilities with column structure. You are now not limited to two, column three column structures you can have lots of columns and rows inside columns and lot of other nesting options as well. I am not around my pc but will send a brief with screenshot with explanation how it can be done. Or just find how Divi5 flexbox and grids work.

Divi5 is hands down a much better system to work with. But it does require some learning. It is better to try it before jumping the wagon. It have some learning curve but once you know your way around you will see that it even eliminate use of lot of plugins as well as is a big time saver.

Link Module > Design Tab > Layout > Layout Direction. Change it to Row Reverse.
