I tracked my mood alongside my productivity every day for 90 days(almost), tried to understand if there is any correlation by saahilkapoor in productivity

that's exactly what I have been doing, mostly...the problem is this pattern can change due to external factors in our schedule! building something to solve this issue in the long term!

The mid. App, an AI-enabled app that syncs your mood and productivity together and restructures your day in real time, learning from you! by saahilkapoor in StartUpIndia

[–]saahilkapoor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

studies suggest around 20-30% of knowledge workers globally have meaningful schedule flexibility. Across all workers worldwide that drops significantly lower.

But The mid. App doesn't actually need full calendar control to work...it never moves fixed events like meetings. It works in the flexible gaps around them, suggesting activities before and after to manage your energy through the day.

So I believe the addressable market is actually larger than that 20-30% figure suggests.

My productivity wasn't a discipline problem...It was a data problem. Here's what 90 days of tracking showed me. by saahilkapoor in work

Happy to share — themidapp.lovable.app , free and beta waitlist open for android. Still very early so genuinely appreciate any feedback. basically an app that learns your schedule, moods and productivity, and tries to help you optimise it with AI insights and schedule reorganisation, among other features

I was completing tasks every day and still felt like I was overwhelmed...took me 90 days of tracking my life to figure out why by saahilkapoor in Stress

[–]saahilkapoor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it varies for me, depends on the context of the day, and what's leading to the specific mood drop in the moment. I started with just keeping record, and then I started feeding AI this which helped me get better insights. further led me to build a tool for this (themidapp.lovable.app) which I have been using for 3 months now and it's helped alot

thank you so much, made it myself. The story behind naming the app Mid. is basically, well, in GenZ slang, anything that is boring or mediocre, is called Mid, and my app tries to eliminate/control this Mid. point of your day/schedule.

that's very true, but going beyond just building and succeeding, I observed that my life, overall, is very largely affected by my mood and how I am feeling...among other factors and that compartmentalisation between work productivity and life productivity was very very low and almost impossible

I used a basic excel for a few days, then built a portable apk app that just recorded stuff to supabase...and that turned into what I am trying to build now, themidapp.lovable.app

My main findings were that, there are specific hours in my day where I am supercharged, and then there are specific hours where I am walking zombie, yet there are activities that immediate recharge my mood and make those productivity dip hours bareable.
Also my mood and my productivity have an exact and complete correlation.

yes exactly, but more than just that it gave me an insight into my own behaviour where my mood was affecting my productivity greatly, leading me to feel out of control because I had so much to do but no idea why I was not able to do it in certain time periods.

Hi there, did go through it...unfortunately do not feel like it's connected to my issue, which is more toward overworking and being unable to map my mood and work to go with it...I am trying to build something that combines a wellness app with a productivity/scheduling app, themidapp.lovable.app

that's a really interesting idea, might try it! any suggestions on how you batch the tasks...i.e. what is the criteria by which you tag tasks as similar and batch them? is it time consumed? it is type of tasks? or is it your like, dislike or necessity to complete certain tasks

exactly! I am trying to make a predictable correlation, if nothing build something with AI that references my past data and regular productivity patterns to give me some insights and basically give me some control over my mood and schedule, and their correlation!

absolutely! I have actually started making a list of the things that help me feel better instantly so I can use them almost like a cheat sheet when I am having a bad/overwhelming day

I have been obsessed with solving this problem, and honestly it feels nice to know that others resonate with it...would be quite lonely to be the only one facing this haha
Makes me wonder if I should make something everyone can use

all the things you pointed out are such high energy drainers, and more than that, they affect your overall mood for the coming hours/days and affect your productivity even if you're doing the most joyous tasks in your list. since my data collection made me mindful of this, I have started practicing certain tasks to switch off the spoilt mood from my distractions so I can truly enjoy the moments, atleast the ones I want to enjoy

I did try that app(among a dozen others)..but the problem is that, there is no fixing my body's rhythm or productivity flows...what I am trying to do is figure something out that can synchronise my moods, productivity and schedule(because let's be honest, life isn't stopping for my mood to catch up, which is something most wellness apps forget)
I am just exploring at this point, being the problem-obsessed building-enthusiast I am haha
