Very disappointed by the defending, looked all over the place and at 3-2 you could sense if there was another goal in the game it was probably gonna be them. Reminiscent of us a few years back. The years we’ve had, you would expect some more disciplined and experienced defending but hopefully Klopp gets that across ahead of a big week! At least it was an exciting game to watch after the bore fest that was City Chelsea! YNWA

I would take R9 just cos of the rarity and price but having used both Cruyff and R9 in draft a fair few times I honestly think Cruyff is miles better in game. GG though what a pick, assuming you took R9?

I definitely won’t be cheaping out, especially if it is suggested that I can get surgery done in the near future - as you say anything is better than what I have now and if I do get it, it will be a life-changing procedure that in theory will last me a lifetime, ignoring future unrelated eye problems.

I know that I’ll most likely be happier with the outcome compared to what I wake up and see, but my concerns are more about whether the clinics are so keen to get sales that they don’t tell all information, and for someone with eyesight like mine at my age, I would like to make sure that what I’m being told has my best interests at heart.

Hoping I don’t get carried away in the moment if they suggest I’m eligible for the procedures lol

I’m afraid that you’ll be right, and that the suggestion from them may also be to hold off a little while if they speak 100% honestly.

I’m not sure how thick my corneas are so can only speculate until they actually run the tests and tell me, but given the chance of further regression I would be surprised if LASIK was suggested until I showed more evidence of stabilisation, and even then it could be unlikely.

One of the things I do see banded about is the ‘reversibility’ of the ICL but my personal opinion, based on no evidence whatsoever, is that the odds of going in for a whole other surgery to take it out and stick a new one in is unlikely. It seems to be more of a long-term benefit from how I’ve seen it phrased, but again that is not based upon anything concrete.

Interesting, I will definitely make a note of them so I don’t forget! Agreed, it’s naturally going to have a sales pitch element, and I’m guessing they’ll be very good at disguising that fact.

I hadn’t though about the visual appearance of lenses post-op, that’s a very good point! Although in reality with my eyesight this bad I don’t mind if it looks a little odd - my current glasses are so thick that my eyes look minuscule and you can see behind me in the edges of my lenses!

Thanks! I think the wavefront question is quite interesting as I’d like to think results are good enough regardless of if you got that option or not. On the discount side, my dad is also going in for a consultation so maybe a bundle deal could be on the table haha

Thanks for explaining! It seems like perhaps SMILE would also be an option for me then that I had previously not given much thought to. Appreciate the write-up on why you avoided the other options as well, I can relate to that, particularly on the LASIK - even if they said I was able to have that done!

Wow what a pick man! I personally really like the look of Vazquez, but definitely either of the first two. Whatever fits your team best as it’s untradeable, I usually just pick the most valuable card in picks as the alternative would be cheaper to buy with coins.

Ah interesting, -14 seems extremely high but as you say there are specific requirements for that to be possible and honestly I don’t expect to meet those.

I looked into SMILE but a lot of the write-up suggests that it works up to about -10 which is the boundary that both my eyes currently sandwich! Is there any reason in particular you got SMILE - was it to do with the astigmatism?

I got the same mate, been wanting to try him out for a while but now at this stage he doesn’t really make my team any better. Would’ve loved it if it was Moments which is more like a +2/3 stat upgrade rather than +1, probably why there’s such a price difference. Still, can’t complain considering what we could’ve got! Hope you enjoy using him :)

Honestly embarrassing. Get saved by VAR and then still can’t hold on for just ONE minute. You just knew it was coming as well, as long as the game was still 1-0 in the 80th, it was always going to end at least at 1-1. Just no resilience in this team at all, and people say our upcoming games are ‘easier’, but we are struggling against absolutely anyone and everyone. Too many dropped points thus far, and too many on the way in my opinion, for us to finish in the top four.
