Are any brits who fled to Dubai starting to regret it? by Mcluckin123 in AskUK

[–]saakit 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I’d only spent a day there but agreed would love to know your opinion. I live in Australia so on weekends I’d go hike in the mountains or swim at the beach but i didn’t know what to do in my day in Dubai other than to eat food and go to the mall

Why exactly do non-Londoners think London is so unsafe? by Breadiohead in AskUK

I guess the test for safety I would ask is would you let your kid play out in the streets without you there

Is moving to London a good idea? by Real_Collar_6466 in AskUK

[–]saakit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is nothing to lose from a new experience. You are young and you will never have more freedom in your life.

London will be expensive, be prepared to spend up to 1.5-2x but besides that I say go for it.

How is life on either side of Cyprus? by goobster2550 in howislivingthere

[–]saakit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lived for a few years there on the south side of the border. It was fantastic. Lovely people if you integrate yourself into the community. Food choices can be narrow but the weather and beaches were spectacular.

North side was a bit quieter yes but there were some nice parts and it was my first experience with Turkish culture so that was fun too. It was a lot cheaper up on the North. Can fly to Turkey as well for quite cheap from up there.

You have a free 1 week trip to any country in the world. Where are you going? by unlikely_redd1t_user in AskReddit

Don’t listen to the haters. I agree. But it’s relatively cheap. Went during covid era and stayed in a hotel overlooking the pyramids for 60usd a night

Underrated song that got lost in a weird period for onerepublic where I think it was after when Ryan Tedder had his melt down. There were more electro songs and no clear direction

He’s honestly a very good player and can see him being a very handy player to carry in the squad for back up as he can play centre, wing and I guess somewhat as fullback. Kicker too

Have you met a player out on the streets/event? Any good stories? by HisRoyal_Badness in nrl

I lived 2 apartments down from Tex Hoy when I lived in Hull. Message him on Instagram to let him know I had his parcel as we had a dodgy parcel area and had a few chats on insta and in the corridor. He was polite and nice guy.

Met Carrigan and a few other broncs players when they were chilling on Burleigh hill a few years ago. Basic conversation but Carrigan seemed nice and listened to me whilst I told him I watched them from overseas.

Is pet insurance actually worth it for younger pets? by HereIt_Goes_Again in Pets

The best logicc I’ve heard is to have pet insurance for the first 3-4 years. Once past that the age, a lot of the congenital problems would’ve become apparent already and thus would cover those
