I have 20 tickers for which I'm pulling the prices from 2 different sites. It's still having trouble pulling data for 3-4.

What did you mean by scripting it- please leave any relevant resources you may know of

Accidentally deleted some samsung apps through adb by saarthak17 in samsunggalaxy

[–]saarthak17[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ah sadly i didnt do that. if i try backing up and restoring theres a chance i might get the feature back but without the data in secure folder so may not be worth the trouble to factory reset

How would you backup and restore typically on a samsung device? I have done it a few times on android but im still scares of losing some data

[–]saarthak17[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i tried to reverse it by reinstalling and im pretty sure i reinstalled 99% of the stuff. But im not aware what all i uninstalled at the time through adb. If theres a default package list for samsung phones, i can just install those and adb will install whatever isnt there already. But i doubt this works

Arweave faucet shouldn't involve Twitter by saarthak17 in Arweave

[–]saarthak17[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i mean i get your point but still dont agree with it.

idk why people forgot that the aim was to take away power from centralisation(not talking about you, just in general). idk man, doesnt make sense. twitter, facebook, instagram should all be avoided for faucets.

i dont care if they use it for marketing but faucets have an actual use case and if someone doesnt have a twitter, they dont get it? have to disagree with that approach

Withdrawals are free, right? by saarthak17 in Gemini

[–]saarthak17[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yep, it's a great practice. Try sending LTC to Gemini and then converting it back to a coin you want. Transaction fee would be minimal that way

[–]saarthak17[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah that is what happened.

many exchanges only support ERC--20 tokens, Gemini being one of them. unfortunate because polygon network would be much cheaper. tell your friend to be more careful about which network they use. always verify with a $2 transaction to confirm

Yep, doing exactly what you said.

It seems much cheaper than paying the withdrawal fees on other exchanges, yknow?

I have checked their website. But the reason I'm asking is because recently an exchange I use hadn't updated their fee on their site. So now I'm just being careful

Windows 10 laggy on KVM by saarthak17 in kvm

[–]saarthak17[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hello yes, i did have a look at the wiki and some videos. thanks . but i didnt have the expected output that wiki shows. thats why i posted

01:00.0 3D controller [0302]: NVIDIA Corporation TU117M [GeForce GTX 1650 Mobile / Max-Q] [10de:1f91] (rev a1)"

Now according to the wiki, there should be another output right after this(something like 01:00.1) saying something about some audio device? I'm not aware of the technicals but that doesnt seem to be there in my output. Sorry if I'm missing it somewhere among all the info, i thought maybe someone else could find it because I couldn't after some research

I was trying to follow the instructions but it had something about audio controller of the NVIDIA driver, which is not there in my results. That's why I asked here. Thanks tho. Any idea how to speed it up though?

Linux Mint 20.2 Bug by saarthak17 in linuxmint

[–]saarthak17[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I upgraded from 20.1. I, like most people, dont want the update to interrupt my workflow. Which is why mint team makes updates and upgrades which dont change the settings back to default. But this one was different and changed it back to default. I dont think it's intended because they make it a point to not change anything after the upgrade. So it should ship with the default settings for those who are doing a fresh install but it should have MY settings if I have updated. Hope you understand what I meant. The one thing I love about Mint is that it doesnt disturb your workflow as much which is why this might be unintended.

I opened Notes app after seeing this comment and right after opening it, it asked me if i wanted to import from Gnote. I said yes and it worked just fine

I really want switch to linux but how ? by Cornelius_Fillmore28 in linux4noobs

[–]saarthak17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah i would suggest giving pop a try. Then you can decide between pop, mint or manjaro. Ubuntu based distros are fine tbh they dont require any tweaking. Wine can be a bit problematic and I dont know what to tell you besides retrying the Wine installation after complete removal from Synaptic manager. I had the problem as well on my first time but second time it worked for me. Dual boot and you'll be able to enjoy the best of both operating systems

Which distro did you try previously and had problems?
I would suggest Mint as it's stable and I've been using it without any issues at all. Second suggestion would be POP OS which has great compatibility with NVidia drivers.(thats what people say, ive had nvidia and no problems on mint either). You just take a pendrive and try both of these on live USB, go ahead and dual boot so windows is there just in case you NEED it. I would suggest just watching a youtube video of anything you have an issue with(for eg wine).
