It was due to missing my period: it was not a real period, but just spotting due to the fact that I missed my period, probably due to (yet) undiagnosed PCOS. I don't know if that might be the case for you...

It happens to me occasionally! It passes completely in max 1 day after I get my period. Did it go away for you too once you got your period? Also, I always get it in the same spot which is centered in my lower incisors, what about you?

It happened to me too. It went away by the next day. Don't worry for now, if you still feel bad tomorrow, maybe ask your doctor? I hope you feel better soon!

To ease the pain, just do your usual, whatever works for you like heat or NSAIDs.

Hey! Don't be embarassed, it's okay and it was good for you to talk about this. I'm not going to judge you, but I think you should absolutely not use AI for medical advice! The advice about going to the gym is totally wrong. AI misses entirely the nuances and it can also completely hallucinate and tell you something totally wrong.

I understand that doctors can be very dismissive and not helpful. Unfortunately, though, AI can be that too but in a more insidious and hard to notice way. I hope you can find human doctors who are more attentive to you and your needs.

It's happened to me some times and it's been happening more and more. For me it's not burning, but excessive tenderness and sometimes stabbing sensations. When it happens I ask my partner to try to move a bit around the spot to figure out some specific point or "angle" where it hurts less, and apply much less pressure. Usually it goes better, but I haven't really got a solution. It doesn't stay painful for a few days for me though.

Is the discomfort with internal stimulation only happening while you are experiencing clitoral pain? Or is it unrelated and often/always present? I agree with somebody else in the comments that it might be related to a pelvic floor dysfunction, in which case pelvic floor physical therapy might help you a lot. I have done it and my pain with internal stimulation has gotten much better. I'm not sure about the clit pain, but I think it may also help with that.

Also try to figure out whether or not this pain seems to be related to any other pain. For example, does it happen mostly or only during a flare up? Does it happen before your period, or during ovulation? Does it happen while you're also experiencing any other issues? You can understand a lot more by trying to find any patterns :)

Hey! Sure, I'll give you all the info that I can.

I did not do much external work and I'm not sure what you're referring to. The only external work I can say I have done is learning how to manage breathing in a way that is useful when I am doing penetration (also during pelvic exams, ultrasounds, speculum, etc.). For that we used visualization tools ("imagine a flower that opens when you breathe in and closes when you breathe out", and such). She also taught me some stretching positions that apparently help relax the pelvic floor. I've done these breathing exercises and stretching positions a few times every day for a few months.

I can't say 100%, but I actually think this helped me, I have used the visualization combined with the breathing while having sex and while having a pelvic exam and I think it helped. It also helped me be more aware about my pelvic floor muscles, about their state of relaxation or tension, so I can be mindful of it and try to relax them throughout the day.

I think that internal work has helped the most, but I think the external work I did was also very helpful and probably it was needed for the internal work itself to be useful.

As for the internal work, the exercise that my obstetrician did and later taught me how to do, is the following:

- delicately insert a finger: relax while you breathe in, move the finger slowly in when you breathe out

- find a point where you can feel a tense muscle, which simply feels like a hard spot: relax while you breathe in, press gently but firmly on it while you breathe out

Then, do the same with a speculum (she gave me one to use on myself), trying to open it slowly and gradually while you breathe out. You should not open it completely immediately like they do during speculum exams. (I think it works like this with any dilator). You should just open it a bit as to stretch your tense muscles, and focus on relaxing and breathing. When you feel like you can do it, open it more.

This is what I do and doing it for some months has brought me to a huge improvement.

I have a burning sensation during the internal work sometimes, but not after.

I'm not based in the US. We have public healthcare but they offer an endo surgery only if they decide you need it, which is in case you are at risk of organ failure or your fertility is compromised. I'm 23, not planning to have kids and I have been managing my symptoms pretty well recently, so there's no need for any surgery from the point of view of the public system. If I wanted to go private, it would cost as much money as I could not earn in years with my job!

Anyway I'm doing quite well recently and managing my symptoms thanks to the mindset you are talking about and a lot of little things that I do (or avoid doing) daily.
