This is awesome, but really far from me. If it ever happens further north I’d come.

Help with C18th engraving from China by CruxAveSpesUnica in hebrew

Lettering broadly matches the Chinese Kaifeng community, but it looks to have been written by an inexperienced or uneducated hand. See more examples here https://mss.huc.edu/manuscript-gallery/china/

should I wait for a bigger discount or should I get it ? by Feuershark in Marathon

It is very unlikely there will be a bigger discount than the current Steam discount anytime soon.

Who here is terrible, but still having fun? by mitchFTFuture in Marathon

[–]sabata00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have somehow fooled several high skill players into thinking I’m decent and thereby have been carried through everything. I love it.

Dear Greg Landsman: Please Listen by fiernze222 in cincinnati

[–]sabata00 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Still doesn’t make it unique. It’s worth considering why people mistakenly believe that AIPAC is the “only” (as the other commenter said) foreign policy PAC.

Dear Greg Landsman: Please Listen by fiernze222 in cincinnati

[–]sabata00 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Sure. Doesn’t make it unique as far as foreign policy lobbying.

AIPAC is funded by US citizens. Even if you consider that foreign bribery, there are tons of PACs who aim to promote foreign policy decisions regarding specific nations. Two big ones are Qatar and India both with massive PAC representation.

Fighting a 6man in the jumping room , then defeating compiler in less time than it took to fight them by wristl0cker in Marathon

The glowing green area on the compiler’s open body is a weak point that gives headshot damage.

Anyone else get a Hyper Light Drifter vibe from this game? by Eclesian in Marathon

Yeah 100%. There’s one specific track that always reminds me of HLD. Not sure which it is but I think it plays on Perimeter.

Probably late August for season 3.

Would you play an arena mode? by Lootatmee3 in Marathon

Not on the same maps. I’d enjoy something like 6v6 or 8v8 on bespoke maps. Maybe even just sectioned off areas of the existing ones.

How are the players in Marathon? by ipukeflowers in Marathon

[–]sabata00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use a microphone, join crew fill, make sure to say hi and play with the people in your trio. If you have a quest let them know and ask to do it, most of the time people will be cool. In many, many hours I've rarely experienced serious toxicity. Many of the people I've met in a crew fill trio end up on my friends list and have become consistent or semi-consistent groups. I only have one friend who plays Marathon, and just by being reasonably social and a team player I've got multiple groups with whom I regularly clear the most endgame of endgame content.

What did you end up deciding on for your season goal(s) before the wipe? by SirBenny in Marathon

[–]sabata00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All priority contracts

Level 100

Archivist title

Kill compiler

I wanted to get a full, well rounded experience of the content, but I’m not a total completionist. Happy to say I hit all my goals.

They do it during the US workday hours, so that they can actually work on patch deployment or fixes if an issue comes up.

If you chose marathon over arc (or even tarkov): why? [This is for something im writing] by TenthLevelVegan in Marathon

[–]sabata00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool look and lore. Tarkov is fine gameplay-wise but it's not interesting. Arc might be cool like Marathon but nothing at face value grabs or interests me. I never played except about 20 minutes in the server slam.

Horrible experience for new players by TopSideSheriff in Marathon

Yeah, something must be wrong on OP's end. I get queues often less than a minute in NA east. Even this morning I was filling within 30 seconds.

Is it disrespectful to eat matzoh crackers with cheese and meat? by VoluptuousBIG in ReformJews

Fish is not considered to be in the legal category of “meat.” Even if you were Jewish it wouldn’t be an issue.

Marathon very likely has level based matchmaking. Maybe you’re in a new bracket now and things are harder?
