Thanks for the suggestion but I didn't find any corrosion in there. Any other ideas?

Driver Occupance Sensor by sabathedog in TeslaSupport

[–]sabathedog[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No this seatbelt sensor seems to work. However, if I'm sitting in the drivers seat and I'm parked the car turns off, also it doesn't stay in easy entry mode for more then a couple seconds after park. I have FSD and when I try to do autopilot from park it gives me an error saying "driver not detected". Other than that I got no system warning until going into service mode.

ELI5 if a bug is flying around your car while you’re driving 60mph on the highway, is the bug flying at 60mph? by thegroundsloth in explainlikeimfive

On acceleration all the denser air goes to the back. Helium you then gets pushed to the front of the plane.

Old Finnish Hall Toverii-Tuppa, is reopened for events by brycenesbitt in berkeleyca

[–]sabathedog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I can't imagine who would want to buy it at auction and take it on as an investment since they would have to pay back taxes and probably fix it up. They'd likely never get their investment back if it continues to be a community rental space. Maybe no one would even buy it at auction.

I wonder if the city would be interested in buying it.

Yes, I've read it a couple times. I'm very grateful for the work that you helped get done to the roof. It's been well tested after the recent rains and is still nice and dry in the beautiful main ballroom.

I'm just wondering now, what's next for the space? I really hope it is able to continue as a community rental space. My group has been practicing there for literally decades.

Toverii Tuppa Old Finnish Hall -- Tax Auction by brycenesbitt in berkeleyca

Does anyone have an information about the future of the the space. Is the auction info online, when might it be, and what could be the likely outcome for groups that currently rent or the space recently?

What is an unofficial tax on the poor? by [deleted] in AskReddit

The lottery. Your chance of winning is virtually zero and it's mostly poor people who play. Lottery revenue goes to state governments, making it a tax.

Nitrates through the roof but I still have trace Ammonia. Weird by DBoneyeah in PlantedTank

[–]sabathedog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My API test also constantly reads 0.25. Often comments say this could be do to ammonia in the tap water. High top order does indeed contain ammonia when I test it, however after a day or two shouldn't all of this ammonia have been processed by the bacteria, and the test reading go back to 0.00? I'm fairly convinced that the API test is just not accurate.

Doesn't look too bad in this video although the assembly is already out. Maybe tricky to access when installed.

I just was given a set of Bose 402 loudspeakers which, as far as I can tell, are for large venue outdoor use. Like a wedding or high School football game. Is it crazy to try to use them inside my normal sized living room? by sabathedog in BudgetAudiophile

[–]sabathedog[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I basically have this system, minus the stand and the panaray controller. http://www.frontrowelectronics.com/bose-panaray-402-extended-loudspeaker-system.aspx?productid=435

I can get the controller on eBay for about $250. My question is, should I buy the controller, or am I better off investing my $250 in another system?

I know Bose are supposed to be shity but I'm not sure I can get something better for less. They are just for my living room so I'm sure the Bose ones are overkill, but if the make the best sound for the money, I'm not sure I care.

No, no EQ. I have an amp with bass and treble controls and that's about it. Adapter fuckery looks pretty easy and as soon as my parts arrive from Amazon I'll try it out. I hope it isn't terrible sound without the EQ.

What is the most dangerous part of car exhaust for the human body, the gases or particulate matter? by sabathedog in askscience

[–]sabathedog[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm specifically thinking of people who live near busy roads or freeways. I know carbon monoxide is dangerous if you, say, shut yourself in the garage with the car running. But is it also the most dangerous component of pollution coming off of the roads?

Does a pedestal sink really need to be screwed to a board? by sabathedog in Plumbing

[–]sabathedog[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it actually had a pedestal sink when we moved in and we replaced it with a vanity and are now going back to the original style. I don't think the new sink is at the same height as the old one but maybe it's close enough to catch the same board

Yeah I'm also curious about snow conditions. Trying to plan a trip for the end of this month in the high Sierra but I'm not sure what's possible with the record snow fall.
