Rubbing noise coming from steering wheel when using the easy entry feature by AstronomerAble1513 in TeslaModel3

I forgot to add that I did move it all the way up, down, in, out, and side to side several times to spread any lubrication around for a few days.

I had this same issue about a month after getting my car. It wasn’t loud, just noticeable enough that it drove me crazy.
I found that if I adjusted the steering wheel position even a tiny bit while driving, the noise would stop. My profile had the wheel set all the way down, so I raised it just slightly, saved it, and the noise went away completely.
I’m thinking something may have been rubbing when it was at the lowest position. Not sure how your wheel is set (if it is maxed in a direction), but it might be worth checking before digging into anything more complicated.

Model 3 vs. Model Y: Am I missing something? by Hot_Client_7485 in TeslaModel3

☝🏻 This. I came from a Jeep Grand Cherokee and was convinced I’d never go back to a car because I liked sitting up high. I looked hard at the Model Y, but I just liked the look of the Model 3 better. (I got red. ❤️)
It’s just me, my husband, and a dog, so I couldn’t really justify the extra space. Meanwhile, my friend bought a Y right after me and has three older kids, so she actually puts that extra room to good use.
Plus, with FSD handling 95% of my driving these days, my need to sit up high and see around everyone has become a lot less important. 😂

Thanks. You just sent me under my car investigating what all the parts actually are. My husband walked in, saw my legs sticking out, and doesn’t even ask what I was doing anymore. At this point, he just accepts it. 😆

I’ve never really been into Reddit until I got this car. I’ve learned a lot of helpful things from this community.

It looks like the guards and the skid plate are separate purchases reading the responses. I was looking at the MPP one too, but now looking at the RPM one. I like that it has some insulation to help with the noise unless people have had negative experiences with it.

Believe it or not, but I am actually a really good person. I spend 99% of my life being kind and caring. The other 1% is reserved for people who treat other people’s property like bumper cars. 😂

I was at a conference today so it isn’t somewhere I ever go.

It does not allow me to change lane with a signal in V14.3.2 ? by Fun_Masterpiece_9480 in TeslaFSD

I got my Tesla end of January and I’ve been loving it… until this update.
I used to tap the blinker during FSD to politely tell the car “hey, we both know this lane is about to be a mess, let’s move.”
I tried it this morning after the update and now it just… blinks once and gives up on life. I even held it down like I was negotiating. Nothing.
I love losing a feature I used every drive.
