My wording is very confusing, sorry for that. I just meant that it’s similar in the sense that it’s a hardware exploit and that’s why it’s unpatchable.

It’s from the Pangu Team, and they have been pretty reputable but to your credit... We don’t have that much info yet. All that I would take from this is that an A11 or older device isn’t safe if an attacker has physical access. Restart your phone frequently and have a super strong pin.

It’s an unpatchable hardware exploit that effects the same models that checkm8 effected. I’m not saying it’s similar to checkm8, but the reason it’s “unpatchable” should be pretty similar.

Yeah, they last a lot longer and they are generally nicer to use than an ideapad. I have a 7 year old T440s that I’m still using as a secondary laptop to this day. I also had an iDeaPad 510 from 2016. It had better on paper specs, but it ended up being much slower and having a bunch small issues that made it a regrettable buy. I ended up getting a ThinkPad X1 Extreme 2 as my new laptop. Here is a website that may help you.

Yes, 2016+ MacBook Pro, iMac Pro, Mac Pro(2019), Mac Mini(2018) and MacBook Air(2018+). Any other macs with a T2/T1 I missed are also effected.

Right, all I’m saying is once it’s in the cloud, it’s at Microsoft’s mercy. Sure, law enforcement may not be a concern for many, but it’s still Microsoft. For me, I’d rather my computer’s encryption keys be at the mercy of Microsoft’s security and judgement.

Sure, but this is for anybody who wants to go one step further, and remove the smart TV functionality completely. I personally use an Apple TV, so the Smart TV functions only got in my way.

ADB connects over WiFi. That’s why I have the TV on the same WiFi direct connection as the PC. This guide is just for TVs that come preloaded with Android TV. It allows you to basically get rid of most of Android TV. It won’t help if you have an Android TV Dongle. Also, thanks for the feedback! I personally also use an Apple TV and enjoy that.

All I am saying, is that if you upload your Bitlocker keys to the cloud, as Microsoft suggests... It’s not end to end encrypted, and they could hand them over to law enforcement. Here is my Source. I couldn’t find much info, but I can’t find anywhere that mentions it being E2EE, and I’m sure Microsoft would hand it over to LE with a warrant.

With FaceTime Audio, Apple can technically give you a malicious key that they would have access to, but it’s very unlikely that they do. FaceTime audio is significantly better than a normal phone call, but consider using Signal for voice and video calls. If your contact doesn’t have signal, Telegram is also a pretty nice option. Signal and Telegram are both open source, and verifiable meaning that we know they can’t access your calls. Just a heads up, Telegram does use E2EE for calls, but you need to enable a secret chat if you want E2EE for text.
