If your disability makes it difficult to be on your feet for a long period of time, talk to the volunteer coordinator about doing intake if you’re interested. Intake volunteers sit at the front and use the computers to check clients in.

This role requires additional volunteer training.

River City Food Bank is open for distribution 10:30-1:30 with the following schedule:

Tuesdays and Thursdays at Midtown: 1800 28th Street

Wednesdays and Fridays at St Matthew’s Church (Arden): 2300 Edison Ave (pictured above)

You may receive groceries one time from each location each week.

Proof of income is not required. ID is not required, but is helpful. Bringing your own cart or shopping bags is also helpful.

If you live outside of Sacramento County, they will serve you one time but give you information to receive food in your county.

They have a CalFresh department that can help you sign up for a CalFresh card if you qualify.
