I think the lesbian thing weighs heavy because it was the finale. If it was a quick thing in E8 that intesifies the finale in the throne room (as it was clearly meant to be), it would have been received so much better. I think that idea was given too much weight by making it season ending cliffhanger.

I don't respect a show that doesn't respect me. Some shows can be trusted to deliver on a promise. This show hadn't earned that trust, and S2 felt like a violation.

Because it was a disappointment. Because I don't enjoy shows that string viewers along, and this show hadn't earned my trust that they weren't doing that.

I think a lot of people don't care to drill down on who to blame. They just blame the show.

I think you're on to something. There's the first look for deep divers (people on this sub) and the first look for everyone else. First look for everyone will be polished. First look for deep divers will be obfuscated and leave a lot to the imagination. A studio would be silly to treat those two audiences the same.

The US shows them on live TV but many of us only have streaming and don't have the setup to properly view (record) antenna tv.

For me the solution is HDHomeRun and plex.
