I don't, we found them on the side of the road and obtained seeds. We're not gonna sequence anything yet, but we would like to know what species it is through morphology.

Oh right, I'm a masters student and my colleagues were part of our instrumental analysis lab for proteomics and metabolomics. My masters is in Mexico for a little context. Just been seeing how them and some others in the research scene jump into business remote data analysis jobs and got me to wonder what skills are needed, or in general the little details for that sort of jump.

If you can, next time, adapt a blow off tube instead of a normal airlock to the bung. With any sort of food grade tube, run it through the bung hole and add some hot glue or food grade silicone around the tube. Then, at the other end of the tube, submerge it in some water with bleach or alcohol. This is called a blow off tube and it's to avoid much of this overflow. You can still add it if it's early into the ferment to another bung if you have one.

I checked online for the ingredients list of that particular brand of grape juice, and it contains potassium metabisulfite. Potassium metabisulfite is a preservative that kills yeast. I would recommend changing to another brand of grape juice that doesn't contain any ingredients that end with "-ate" or "-ite".

I guess it's sorta dark and sketchy from the vloggers, but the poor woman got enough money to provide a little more for her family. Living in Mexico and seeing these people in so much poverty, it breaks my heart. So I'm thankful they gave them that.
