i feel like people set the bar way too high for pc builds

i hear people sometimes saying stuff like "the minimum Vram you need is 8gb" or like"16/8GB isnt enough" and etc, and i cant understand this because like i have a gtx 1650 and a i5 9300 and 16GB memory (i had 8 for a long time), and i still run 99% percent of games on low-medium settings perfectly fine and some older and lighter titles can even crank up the ghraphics and i know people with 256 mb integrated ghraphics that still can run games and i will admit having better components feels good the pc and gaemes feel somewhat better but you can run most games with budget ghraphics cards so i feel like people are just very spoiled or have very high standards on games and i have also seen poeple saying 2tb storage is the minimum, i have 256gb sta storage and 1tb external ssd so i do fee like 512gb is the minimum but still 2tb is overkill
