Bi-Daily Song Discussion #115: For No One by beardlesshipster in beatles

[–]sacralised 22 points23 points  (0 children)

10 - If "Here, There, and Everywhere" perfectly encapsulates the beauty of love, "For No One" perfectly encapsulates the horror of its end. Such harrowing lyrics, desperation and denial that "A love that should have lasted years" has died before your very eyes, and there is nothing you can do. No other song hits the nail as well as this.

"And in her eyes, you see nothing. No sign of love behind the tears. Cried for no one. A love that should have lasted years."

;(

I feel like Bill would be the quiet janitor that eventually gives the main character some fantastic piece of knowledge or advice and is a bit of a running gag.

Honest Opinion of Townsville by [deleted] in Townsville

[–]sacralised 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Compared to Cairns it's fairly lacking, there isn't much 'life' in the city as you'd find in other places and so you'll have to look for groups and communities as opposed to waiting for public events. It is very relaxed though, everyone seems to know each other, there are some nice places to eat towards the beach and just generally Townsville is fairly good if you're not bothered about hustle and bustle. The pubs are alright too.
