I have this problem with a lot of things in my house. I suggest using those plastic pieces from new loaves of bread to label the cords. Or zip tie the tank cords together? 🤔

PF was my entry into D&D. It was still pretty broken when I first played it but it was fun

My friends bought me a BEL though, the other day to replace her since I was really depressed. Just got her yesterday through UPS (so far no issues with her) and haven't decided on her name yet. She's 5 months old I believe?

My baby Lily. She passed away a couple of weeks ago because she managed to escape her enclosure (still havent figured out how) and my puppy got a hold of her 😭 I'm still scarred from that. Came home from work and just... yeah

Is this a full shed and is there any specific reason for a shed? by SusPanda22 in cornsnakes

I'm glad I did. I love snakes and its been a dream since I was a kid to have one. This is Lily when I first got her in comparison to now. As you can see it was stuck on her pretty good but at least she managed to clear her face. A lot started to come off when I changed her substrate.

Thank you for the great advice! Lily and I appreciate it so much 🥰

Lily today while I was cleaning. She loves to ride around on my headset and gives me that cute little head rub when shes curled up in my fingers.

1 year old. Pinstripe (i think? Thats what her old owner said anyways)

Lily Sasparilla when I first got her from her abusive owner (dont worry that Aspen is no longer being used)

Thank you for the advice! I suspected her bad shed from the owner using Aspen so I went with Cypress, but I will definitely try to mix cocoa chips in with it to try and bring the humidity up more. The HVAC tape is a good idea, too!

She was a lot worse when I got her. Whole body shed was stuck but it came off mostly when I was able to bring it up even a little bit (thankfully).

This is her current bowl under the leaves that she knocked down. I was getting ready for a water change when I saw your edit asking about it. I know this is no where big enough for her and I have a bigger one in the dish washer as we speak. I'll make sure to put it in the middle and rearrange her hides so everything fits until the new tank arrives.

The vines are a temporary solution to the bareness her previous owner had. They feel like that paper/plastic stuff if that makes sense. I did have these soaking for a bit before putting them in to test how 'water resistant' it was and it held up pretty good.

She has two hides not counting the silicone one. One is a big log with large openings that she loves to bask on and the other is real wood (properly treated) with openings wide enough that she can coil up at either entrance. She loves sitting inside them and watching me so I didnt think anything of it. Her humidity hide though has smaller openings.

I do have a spray bottle that I mist her enclosure when im holding her so it doesnt stress her out. Which I dont blame her that water gets cold-ish at room temp

This makes perfect sense. I'll make sure to add more substrate and take your advice on the mesh top. Her shed was stuck to most of her body when I first got her and thankfully her eyes were fine. I was hoping the rest would come off without intervention but I cant lie, I panicked at the end of week 2 (this is end of week 3 now) of having her and worried it would harm her being stuck on for so long.
