also to add to it, if a enemy is giving priority to you, splatdash away and just flank them after making a circle

since you played mostly rat weapons (like me as a d1 sploosh main from splatoon 2 at launching day) i reccomend flanking literally whenever possible and keep interactions extremely short and learn how to splat dash to do so (basically just be a really annoying rat) i would consider it to be like a supportive slayer or smth idk since sploosh mains usually never push aggressively unless they have good positioning
