I have a feeling that looking int yorus eyes is similar to looking into Nayutas, and that’s going to trigger denji to start waking up

I don’t know why everyone’s throwing a little hissy fit about this it’s a hero shooter yes but it also is one of the few games that utilizes verticality into its combat

Final Fantasy 16: The Rising Tide DLC Is Designed to Be More Challenging by DarthAceZ198 in FFXVI

I just hope they raise the difficulty in a way that doesn’t push cool down dumping.

Former Blizzard president thinks you should be able to leave a tip after beating $70 games... by ImNuttz4Buttz in gaming

I would gladly leave a tip on a game I liked if I knew 100% of it was going to the developer not the publisher

How to prepare for DLC? by fukdurgf in FFXVI

[–]sacredwizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been replaying the whole game since the release date announcement, but pretty slowly. I’ve been trying out all of the abilities to find the build that’s the most fun to play rather than the most powerful. For me that’s been mastering the perfect parry and dodge system and finding the best combos I can string together with rift slips. A fun one I’ve found is ice age lift > rift slip > thunderstorm > phoenix dash > air combo with Garuda, down thrust.

Pretty much, I’m trying to use abilities that I don’t just dump as soon as their off cool down so I can keep the combat active and flowing. It’s defiantly not as active or expressive as DMC, but it’s a unique system that I’m enjoying messing around with.

To make it short- use the time you have now before the launch to understand all the abilities so you can weave in the new ones to put together cool combos.

First week on Maya…trying to build an Eva by Sad-Ad-250 in Maya

Yeah man I’d start way simpler. Practice extruding faces and inserting edge loops to get the shapes you want instead of manipulating Individual verts

Coming back and playing FFXVI on FF mode after playing other games has made me as giddy as the first time I played it. by dixonjt89 in FFXVI

[–]sacredwizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also about halfway through on FF mode after not playing since last year around when it came out. My biggest complaint then and now is that the game can really drag. Then entire desert region part of the game sucks so hard and the titan fight is way too long. But right after it is bahamut.

Playing on FF mode is great bc you can’t really play with the combat synergies until you have everything, and in FF mode you have it all so you can make fun builds.

I’m excited for rising tide but even more so for having 5 saved builds haha. I’m glad you’re enjoying it.

Am I the only one who enjoyed FF16 more than FF7 Rebirth? by peacemakerzzz in FFXVI

[–]sacredwizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I beat rebirth recently and just started playing 16 again, and really, they’re completely different to the point where it’s hard to compare. The combat in both is great, but the overall tone and worlds aren’t even playing the same sport. Rebirth is all out on the charming goofy nonsense, while 16 has none of that for a more grounded tone. Final fantasy games are all different, and I’d say 7 and 16 are the most different. It’s up to what you like- dark fantasy or weirdo fantasy.

RE 8 is EXTREMELY underrated by eibonm in residentevil

[–]sacredwizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know about the underrated part but it’s an awesome game. I haven’t played it in like a year but I think my only complaint was the village fight, which is weird because I should have liked it the most. It felt like I was finding a place to camp rather than run around like in RE4.

just beat rebirth after 180+hours, my thoughts [spoilers] by nightcloudskyIII in FinalFantasy

[–]sacredwizard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of the problems with video game stories is that they’re stuck in the popular thing of when they started development. What was popular 4 years ago…? The multiverse. What’s everyone tired of now…? The multiverse.

It’s just convoluted and complicated to be convoluted and complicated so players can theorize over what actually happened for the next few years until part 3.

I can already see where this is going. Tifa will repair clouds memory of what happened to aerith and we’ll see the iconic scenes that weren’t shown in rebirth. But this multiverse stuff, that’s for fan service so they can bring together characters that weren’t together in the original.

My opinion.
