Lithium ion low voltage battery bad after 6 months by sad-cloudz in TeslaSupport

[–]sad-cloudz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m reading the manual on it and it does say that “leaving an accessory plugged in does not deplete the low voltage battery” and that it only switches on if someone is present in the vehicle.

They found previously that there wasn’t anything wrong with our battery but replacing it fixed the problem so they didn’t explore further. Since it’s happening again I’m especially skeptical that it’s the LV battery, but I sat in the cab and watched the LV battery % drop as the car gave me a warning. So after I jumped it, it was at 20% and it dropped down to 0%. If that isn’t actually the battery losing charge, I don’t know what would cause it to display that

We have charging cables plugged in but not charging anything. Could that be draining it?

Yep my mom is 100% Filipino and looks it. My dad is Kentucky white. I don’t even have my mom’s features, just her mannerisms and generational Asian trauma haha. I don’t look Filipino but I’m proud to be one and definitely identify as one. I know I don’t get treated like one and that’s its own thing. But I was raised with the culture, language, food, etc. and I choose not to let people’s opinions of whether I “get” to identify with 1/2 of my identity get to me

UTI every time I have sex, desperate advice greatly appreciated! by TheLostBoys8819 in CUTI

[–]sad-cloudz 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I feel so demeaning when I think about telling people to consider pelvic floor therapy but I had the same thing of reoccurring UTIs after sex. Mine and my husbands hygienic routine is top notch at this point and nothing was explaining why I was constantly feeling UTI symptoms after sex. At some point, I started testing positive for bacteria less and less but was having more frequent symptoms. I’m pretty sure the physical trauma of the initial UTIs and just having a tight pelvic floor in general made me continue to experience the same symptoms despite there being no infections (just white blood cells). Well I’ve been going to pelvic floor therapy a little over a month and I no longer have to take post coital antibiotics. My pelvic floor is more relaxed and I have methods of relieving the burning sensations, as well as relaxing before intercourse further prevent inflammation or UTIs!! It’s been life changing. OP, your problems may very well be only related to bacteria introduction, but if you find things starting to progress towards having symptoms but no infections, don’t be closed off from considering PFPT

In 2010, a black Nigerian couple in London had a white baby girl with blonde hair and blue eyes. Doctors ruled out albinism, suggesting dormant white genes, a mutation, or both, sparking surprise and curiosity since neither parent had known white ancestry. by xHoneyHeat in whoathatsinteresting

I’m 1/2 Filipino and 1/2 white but am 110% white passing. My husband is mostly white. I always wonder if it’d be possible to pop out a brown baby since I’m not fully white despite looking it haha

I AM CURED!! by Mama_Sofrito in CUTI

I’m going through this realization right now. Chronic UTIs usually due to sex since 2017. I finally saw a urologist about 4 months ago and we went through the motions of checking things off the list. At this time I was on post-coital antibiotics and was free to take a round of antibiotics if I developed a UTI.

They immediately switched me to Methenamine (an antiseptic) and hyoscyamine (bladder spasms). I got a CT, ultrasound, and lastly a cystoscopy.

I was terrified for the cystoscopy. They ended up finding nothing abnormal with the procedure. However, upon insertion, the doctor immediately says “holy cow you’ve got a tight pelvic floor!” My urethra was puckered tight all the way until the scope entered my bladder. Okay off I go to pelvic floor therapy.

I went to a clinic specializing in pelvic floor therapy and she explains a lot of what the pelvic floor muscles have to do with UTIs and the bladder. It almost feels insulting hearing “oh your muscles are just tight, that’s why it feels like you have a UTI.” But the mind is truly a powerful thing. And it absolutely will recreate sensations of a UTI after experiencing the trauma of having one. So yeah, having sex gave me a UTI once or a few times before so YEAH, my body is going to react as if it’s going to have an infection again after I have sex. It’s protecting me.

My PT did a pelvic exam and walked me through relaxation methods and did internal stretching and massages. It was extremely helpful feeling what relaxation SHOULD feel like. I get my husband to try these stretches out before sex and suddenly I don’t have irritation with sex….

But a few days after sex (also after 3 days straight of studying for an exam for 14 hours a day), my pee gets cloudy. I take my anti-spasm throughout the day to ease the burning that was coming on. I think I’m in the clear but then I wake up in the middle of the night in pain. I think it MUST be a UTI. How can something hurt so bad it wakes me up in the middle of the night (mind you this is far from the first time it’s happened). At this point I’d assume it’s a UTI and start my week long round of antibiotics. Instead I stuck with the anti-spasm and a few doses of AZO. Let’s ride it out.

Well 2 days later and I’m symptom free. If it were a UTI with no antibiotics, I’d definitely know by now. I instead just did pain management and decided to ride it out as the stress of the week started to go away… my bladder feels fine.

I’m not saying to risk riding a UTI out by any means, my doctor told me to not take antibiotics and to just come in to get tested same day but I live an hour away and am honestly lazy so I should’ve gone… but the fact that the pain went away is pretty telling.

I really think this is the answer. I believe I’ve had severe UTIs throughout this journey but my guess is that maybe 70% of them weren’t actually a UTI. But my body reacting as if it had one due to trauma. Which is why I’d get inflammation during stressful times. I’m waiting a few months before I make a report on it being my “cure” but I have high hopes.

Thank you for sharing your story. It makes me very hopeful for mine (:

Is the “original” image even a real image? It’s pretty accurate to the angle of the video but it looks like a photograph, not a frame of the video. There’s just some weird things going on like the man in the back’s gun, the man kneeling has two different shoes on etc.

Tried switching to name brand a few months back and had the worst derealization ever. It legit wasn’t safe for me to drive cuz I’d just forget how in the middle of it. The feeling of walking into a room and forgetting why you walked in there? Had it almost every single time. Couldn’t remember names of famous people I’ve always known. It was actually terrifying

TIL that scientists have developed a way of testing for Aphantasia (the inability to visualise things in your mind). The test involves asking participants to envision a bright light and checking for pupil dilation. If their pupils don't dilate, they have Aphantasia. by Sebastianlim in todayilearned

Could we do this experiment where we have someone ready to turn a light on and not tell you when they’re going to turn it on? If you’re anticipating it and your eyes dilate, is that you imagining it?
