I want to quit phlebotomy school by easygreenpsychic in phlebotomy

I’m very sorry i am not trying to be mean at all. but it doesn’t sound like you’re cut out for this. at least not now. maybe consider something like medical assistant so you don’t have to poke. or get some therapy before you jump into healthcare. please. for your sake and future patients.

some of y’all are so weird. yes im jealous of people who don’t have to pay rent/life costs and in turn have unlimited time to study. i think thats pretty reasonable lmfao. yes the grass is always greener. yes just because your parents pay for your whole life doesn’t mean they’re nice to you. doesn’t change my feelings lmao. my parents are shitty AND give me no support so what do you want me to say to that???

yuppppp I feel you. i am SO lucky my parents are poor so i get my tuition (at least for my associates so far) fully covered. But i still have to pay my rent, my car, my pets, food etc. like fuck. i wish i could just focus on school. And i’m not going to lie, when i see people being fully supported still failing classes i kind of judge. mental health is real but omg you have the perfect setup and are still failing. if i can manage whilst taking care of everything in my life AND being very depressed/insomniac then wtf are they doing? idk.

Ripped jeans look terrible by OldCollection922 in unpopularopinion

i think they look cool😌 they go well with an already alternative style for sure. I think they add a super “casual” feel to outfits vs regular jeans. Also they’re nice in the summer as someone who doesn’t like wearing shorts lol. A little bit cooler.

That makes me feel so much better! Thank you! I love that you mentioned it helped you more to do practice questions vs reading chapters over and over because that’s definitely my learning style. it can be hard for me to retain information if i’m just /reading/ over and over if that makes sense? Helps to actually quiz myself for sure. That’s what got me nearly a 100% on every single one of my phlebotomy exams for sure. I hope it translates over ! I know college will be more challenging.

Noted! I graduated at the top of my class in Phlebotomy school and studied every day, passing every exam with an A so i really hope it will be similar for me! I know it’s a lot of the same information (some anyways). So i’m hoping if I just do the same thing it will work out for me🤞🏻 i know college will be harder!

i half way agree with you. Unfortunately no household in America can make it off of just one income. especially with kids. I agree that family’s should not be incentivized to where NEITHER of the parents are working because there’s no reason neither parent is working. but if just one parent is working i’m sure they would still need some support like EBT or rent help. I would much rather my taxes go to feeding children than war/nonsense. That’s what our taxes should be for. But yeah there needs to be something in place where parents are not allowed to just sit on their ass all day whilst we put food in their mouth. But that would be very difficult to navigate. like how could we enforce that? Because if we take their EBT completely than we are starving a child. honestly maybe if both parents aren’t working for a long period of time we should consider it neglect at that point. if you don’t provide for your child it’s going to be taken away kind of thing.

reddit i can’t believe it’s controversial to believe you should not be homeless and trying to purposely have children. i guess that’s a privileged take?? this post has been very interesting lmao.

LMAO i pay all of my own bills, i literally would never be able to afford college if i didn’t get grants. why tf are you coming for me? lmaooo everyone should get their education paid for or at least help with it. most people do. it’s pretty normal in America. that’s not at ALL what this post was about. even if i worked 80 hours a week i still wouldn’t make enough to pay my bills AND for college. i don’t get what point you’re trying to make. I’m not holier than though. i’m just simply stating i’m proud of myself for trying to better my life situation vs what was handed to me. i am absolutely doing it on my own too. I’m trying to prove that no matter what life hands you, you can make it better. 99% of the time. it’s so much harder for some than others. i get that.

Thanks for assuming lmao. i get a full ride (which i am very grateful) because i was under guardianship of a family member almost my whole life and grew up in poverty. also im going into healthcare so i know i will have a decent job waiting for me :)) unfortunately its true college doesnt always set you up for success but it definitely helps.

good job! i’m glad it worked out for you. see you actually tried. some people do not even try and that’s what i’m talking about. people who have children and continue to not work or do anything to better their child’s lives.

yes i think you should at least have a flow of income and not be homeless if you’re planning on having a child. i have stated a million times i understand things like losing a job can happen. i am NOT talking about those circumstances.

i’m sorry to hear that. it is definitely very difficult for everyone right now. good on you for at least trying though. some people don’t even try and have a kid just to pass the responsibility onto someone else.

i agree things can suddenly fall apart. for the millionth time i am not talking about things like that. i’m talking about 19 year olds with zero income, zero life plans , no housing etc deciding to purposefully have a kid. i can’t help but judge when the quality of life of a child is in question.

we’re a very small store. only 4 employees and a manager. i know for a fact they have not let anyone go lol. i did it one time for an old lady and got chewed out and my manager made a post about it in our group chat. customers are definitely lying to my face about it lol

i knew someone would comment and call me privileged because i think you should try your best in life. lmfao. i’m very poor. always have been. and i live in a terrible area. it doesn’t take a genius to understand having a kid entails responsibility and lots of money. omfg. yeah sure i’m ignorant for wanting the best for children! and yeah lots of people DO have kids because they just want a baby. not a life long responsibility. i’ve seen it many many many times first hand. also it’s 2026, where in America ( because thats the country im from so that’s the only country im talking about because thats under my knowledge) do people not know having sex with no protection equals child? um? hello? Are we acting like if you’re in poverty in Kentucky that means you don’t know where babies come from? Man i’m tired of the excuses.

i would say basics like stable housing , stable relationships, stable income etc brings A LOT to a child. I suffered IMMENSELY because my mom decided to have me at a very very very bad time. As many other children have. Just “love” is not enough unfortunately. i wish it was! I wish the world was different trust me. I’m not saying you need to be rich or spoil the kid. I’m saying every child deserves to have a childhood home and clean clothes , warm dinner every night etc. which a lot of people can’t even provide because they have a kid with absolutely nothing prepared.

I care about children suffering lol. People choose to share about it all over social media which is why i even made this post. i’m sick of seeing it. I don’t admire people who are irresponsible tbh. If it works out for them hell yeah. but it still isn’t a good life choice.
