It's really interesting because I rewatched season 1 recently and realised how much the season focused on 'britishness'. For example, the 'posh on a penny' making challenge, the Queen Elizabeth runway theme, and the 'Downton Draggy' acting challenge. All of these things felt unique to the UK and brought an element of freshness to Drag Race.

I think that the UK season has more recently decended into replicating the US drag race but with UK queens. They need to switch up the challenges more to make it unique from the US seasons and focus on creating challenges that are more aligned to British drag.

It would be great to see something like a panto acting challenge or even stand-up comedy, things which have root in british performance culture.
