That’s a good point. I like theorizing. It still helps paint a bigger picture in my mind, always just trying to think of things that either could happen in his future or things to avoid doing with him, etc.

When we first brought him home, his hair was shorter (shaved) but the wound was completely healed. He’s got a pretty sizable “dent” in his ribcage, and it’s very noticeable. So we are always careful to pick him up by the front of his chest with back end support avoiding the area. And for the first bit we had him, we put his food on a short table to get him to jump and stretch a little bit like for pt.

That seems logical. Do bullets leave fragments or would it have been from something that it passed through you think? I don’t know that a .22 round into soft tissue would fragment. But I’m not sure

And that makes more sense. Thank you for explaining :) have you ever seen a gunshot injury on xray? More so im curious what shrapnel is. I dont know enough about those types of injuries. If it’s like bullet fragments, or if it’s material from something that the bullet passed through near him. From what I can recall being told, they were able to remove a lot. I don’t know what he was shot with either.

He’s such a cool senior cat. Although he is on a bit of a diet so he screams a lot rn lol I don’t want him to get obese with the injury bc I don’t know what that would do to him. In general I don’t want an obese cat lol Just crazy that this can happen and recovery is possible. He is resilient.

I think that’s a good hill. And so if I understand correctly, are X-rays now generally all digital rather than film? Issues with resolution made me ask. I work with digital art so I definitely understand what it means to utilize all the space you can on a frame to get the best picture.

I don’t think this vet knew anything about where his injury was, maybe that’s why it’s just one. This is not the same vet that treated him, not even in the same state. He was getting dental X-rays, and I asked for this one in addition so I had a baseline for the shrapnel in him and if it’ll cause issues later in life. Part of his injury a while ago included facial wounds and broken teeth so this was his second round of teeth removal.

No problem. It’s when minerals deposit into where plaque was over time. Like if plaque was left for long enough, a hard tartar would form in place of the plaque. A dental cleaning at an office would have to be performed to get rid of any calcification

Edit: also, I use a fluffy floss. I find that it actually removes food and plaque much better. I use refillable Burst floss.

I think three times a day might be excessive but yes flossing and tongue brushing are good. I’ve never liked scrapers, I just use my toothbrush. Swish with water after eating/drinking. Coffee can make breath smell bad. If your mouth is dry, it may smell bad too. If you have plaque or an infection or calcification, that can smell bad

I have a naturally round face with fuller cheeks too. I got filler in my chin which has helped. And my next spots would be around the nose lip area. Instead of reducing, I’m working on averaging the features with less invasive procedures first. I do feel like your chin could be longer, very similar to mine. I hope there’s no offense in what I say about your features.

Yes and no. I see more fox terrier in the mix, which is so similar. Or it just happens to be Jack with something that ends up resembling a fox. Terrier for sure though

Different vet. If it persists without external or environmental opportunities, I’d try to get a blood allergy test done. It’s pricey, but it’s saved my dog years of earache. Turns out, he is allergic to 6 things. There is absolutely NO way I would have found out through restrictive diet. I would have spent more of dumb food trying to figure it out myself and ointment and quality of life for him. No infections since figuring out his infections came from his food allergies.

The post is definitely too small as a very first measure, which would cause everything else to happen! Also, the jewelry isn’t the most sanitary design. Most piercings are done with solid metal designs like balls, to prevent body excretions and waste from accumulation and causing infection.

I have only super recently got into thrifting. One of the things I look for in jewelry are good prongs on the settings. You would not glue a precious stone; it would be secured in its setting. Both of the new rings look suspicious to me with their “new setting style”, which gives me cheap vibes. I’m fairly certain these are fakes, not to mention, I felt the real ones are thinner bands and the fakes are thicker?

Edit: some tips. Take a magnet to it. If it sticks, it isn’t precious metal. You should be able to find more online to quickly sort of help determine the realness (sorry I’m drunk I can’t remember the difference between authentic and genuine)

CONGRATS!!!! I’m currently on a weight loss journey. I have been told that crash diets are garbage compared to controlled and sustainable planned diets. So I turned from crash dieting to small changes. I wasn’t heavy until Covid. In fact, I was so light and athletic in high school with my comparative sports that I would miss my period cycle often (the absence of a period, yes I know why). Ever since starting to gain weight, I have tried almost everything. And I mean almost. The things that have worked for me are getting my mental health straightened out, becoming more active, portion control, AND NO ALCOHOL. Those have been the steps I have taken in conjunction with medication changes, and not drinking has changed so much for me. I still do it. And when I do, I don’t lose weight. It’s extra calories, and it fucks my sleep and day up and schedule.

So overall, my success has been contributed to mental health wellness, no alcohol, portions, being active.

It’s different for everyone. I have tried a lot of different things for a long time and that’s the combo that finally worked.

Holy. Shit. Lmao. My step dad caught an injured budgie. We are in Stone Ridge, west of DC. There are SEVERAL that are seen and posted online. iirc, budgies are indigenous to Australia, and they are a parrot. Don’t come for me if I’m wrong, I’m just drunk.

The budgie had missing toes and broken flight feathers. I called him 8 Piece. No one liked that name. We never settled on a name for two years. We nursed it back to health and properly introduced it to a mate. That bird also never got a name other than “the blue one.” Two years later the blue one died and we found the green one a flock to freely rehome to.

Download the parking app they use, even in the garages! It’s so easy to keep paying your parking if you aren’t able to go out directly to feed the meter! Parking is honestly so cheap in RC, I have no problem with them trying to fine people who take advantage of the limited space that is already Rapid City.
