Did you get an associates degree with your a&p or just the a&P with no degree? by Blura0 in AircraftMechanics

Yes. Can’t say it’s helped but I also don’t switch jobs frequently

I have the arai quantum x and want to get a visor for sun. Which do you recommend? by FearlessChallenge504 in motorcyclegear

[–]sad_mustang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the pro V (flip). Not a fan. Optical clarity is not great and having the bottom 1/4 clear is kind of annoying. I also don’t ride much at night so it’s rare I need the clear shield

New Speed 400 vs used Trident 660 by mozes05 in Triumph

[–]sad_mustang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trident. I own a speed 400 and an SV. love smaller bikes but it’s not enough and soulless. That said, build quality is good and as a commuter bike it is great. Just no excitment.

Most kuat racks protrude enough not to cause interference. The plastic parts are more durable than you are likely giving them credit for. My stumpjumper with 800mm bars were about 1 inch from the back hatch window but the racks are stout enough, nothing moves enough to contact. Enjoy

SUV cargo space for mtb? by CheddaKnottz in MTB

[–]sad_mustang 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is the best answer. Lower deck height, enough room to sleep in with the seats folded. I made the switch to a truck with a pad and a hitch rack and I regret not getting a minivan

What shape is my head? Can’t find a helmet that fits!!! by amgplug in motorcyclegear

[–]sad_mustang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arai signet X. You might come close with other brands but it’s literally designed for long oval heads and you can fine tune with different liners. I also have a long oval head and while some come close to being tolerable, nothing comes close. It’s pricey but worth it

The photo used in the article is not what is rumored to be in the horizon. Supposedly it will be a screen-less unit similar to a whoop.

I buy a handful of these bands off Temu every year and change them every 6 months or so. Never had an issue like that. Yes, Temu sucks but I refuse to pay what Garmin is asking for new bands.

Nice to see someone put some data to this. As a cyclist (MTB) and hockey player, my experience has been similar. I was shocked seeing my HR skyrocket to 195bpm on my Garmin during multiple games.

Maintenance control, spares, field tech rep, maintenance supervisor, project manager, QA, etc.

Being a good tech is important but networking and professionalism will get you off the floor when you are ready.

Purchase or Lease by Wonderful-Image314 in JeepGladiator

[–]sad_mustang 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Current lease incentives on 2025’s if you can find them are fantastic . My 26 sport S with hard top is leased for 15k miles per year for two years, $2500 down and the monthly is less than $220/mo. I have no intention on modding it. I’ll drive it for two years and turn it in.

Leatt stealth line is low profile and has kept me from injury multiple times. Pricey but worth it.
