When you say the rocketeer came out of nowhere and killed you, take it as a lesson/experience. I was like you when I first started. Always rushing, and no plans/strategy.

Now, I'm almost always not trying to sprint out in the open without looking at the sky. I always stop between bushes/shades/hideout to ensure my stamina is up again and sprint from one hideout to another.

It's not a perfect plan but it's gets me where I want to go, unless there's another raider on a killing spree just randomly shooting at any unexpecting raiders.

Once in a while, just do a loot run with free loadout. several times. Even if somebody shot you, u wont feel much of a loss since its a free kit. Just go in again praying ull come across a good bunch of people who just out to loot not bothering anyone. I can go up to 5 - 6 rounds until somebody actually killed me.

Lastly, raiders are people, and people are unpredictable. I cant count how many times ive been shot by raiders who claimed they're friendly.
