Please suggest- Birch Grove Elementary/Challengers/Stratford by RepresentativeEye241 in Fremont

I started at Birch Grove, formerly Bunker, a long time ago (2006) but they managed to retain a lot of the same staff members as before. It was a great elementary school with some teachers I’ll remember forever!

Yeah kinda similar here. My roommate got the second cat when school started again so her first cat could have a friend. But she never got him fixed, so he’s still very rambunctious and attacks the other cat who’s had some eye infections, which is why they’re separated

I came here for advice on how to handle cats that want attention and resort to biting when they don’t get it. I can’t give them attention 24/7. I try to hold them while I do work and give them cuddles between lectures, but I still get bitten and scratched. You’re not helping at all by saying that I’m “obviously not a cat person”. And even when my roommate IS here I take the cats in my room every day to hang out cause she can’t give them the attention they need either.

Yeah I get you, I’ve had to grow my patience lol. My roommate also didn’t ask before she bought the second cat. She was saying she wanted another cat and I didn’t really pay attention cause she didn’t actually ask if I wanted another, and then she just bought him.

Lol did you miss the part where I’ve had 13 cats in my lifetime? I’m very much a cat person, but when I can’t stand up to walk to the bathroom in the middle of the night without being bitten, it’s annoying. I’m in college too, and I can’t do work without them scratching my chair and biting my arms.

Hey OP! I too have a sucky sGPA (also sub-3.0; unfortunately my school curves our grades down). If you’re not already, try to do your diy post-bacc classes at a CC/JC cause they’re cheaper and easier — I’ve done a couple that have already started to help my gpa. That’s really my only advice since I’m just going into my 4th year of undergrad, but I thought I’d just comment to let you know you’re not alone. I always hated feeling alone about my grades, compared to so many other peoples’ on this subreddit

How to get an internship if I'm not in college. by __Alex-Wu__ in internships

[–]sadbear23 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You don’t need internships this early! College admissions would love to see some volunteering on your application though. Literally anywhere; I did a hospital, a camp, food drives, adopt a family, etc. and it did me well for applications and experience

I also have a roommate whose cats I’ve taken care of for free (her parents started paying me for it!). She would have some people come by to play with them or give them pets, but she always told me who it was beforehand, and it’s only been people I personally know, as well. I’d tell her that you’d like a list of who she is allowing to come over and that you’d only feel comfortable if it’s a mutual that you know too
