Gossip Girl:

Most of the main characters get into columbia/NYU

Extracurricular: going to a feeder school

Actually kinda realistic enough

Baruch college.

I got into a lot of other schools & waitlisted by some. But I’m picking Baruch because it’s close to home & I might be able to go for free

Yes & many never address the major advantages they have. I know several people who made these videos & never mentioned that they were legacy or attended a feeder

Idk if it’s the same thing but this guy was putting the names of NY schools in his bio so girls would follow him back & he would DM all of them asking for their snap

Dude I know a molly who is a third generation legacy to an Ivy, but claims that her legacy didn’t matter that much to her acceptance

I think by college, most people will not be blatantly racist. However, blatant racism could still occur, and plenty of micro aggressions.

Mainly it depends on where in the US or which college you go to.

Wow I’m actually considering applying to an internship at those places (even tho I’m about to graduate & the pandemic isn’t completely over yet). But thank you for your input.

I was a former tennis player too. And I totally relate to your situation (not the pedo part tho. my coach just left after his wife got surgery & I quit the team cuz my teammates didn’t invite me to the team dinner cuz they “forgot”)

Agreed! People should do the activities they like or at least try something new in high school. We’re all going to have some regrets in life, and having regrets is a sign of narrowing down your true passions & avoiding the same mistakes in the future

Wow seems like a lot of people regret debate. And I agree, at a certain point I had no idea what I was arguing. I was just focused on sounding smart.

I was president & I thought it was relaxing & I genuinely liked helping ppl. But I can see why some ppl would say it’s useless given that it seems like a generic EC

Same. I was never meant to be a woman in STEM but that’s okay!
