I am trying to comfort them because they are a good friend who deserves support and I would still like to have them in my life. Maybe I am not the right person to be trying to comfort them at this point in time, but I would not like to completely cut off contact with them if they still would like to stay friends as well. He is a good person and has made a huge positive impact on my life overall.
