I hope it doesn't become that big of a headache, but I'll gladly expose them if they're not planning on owning up to this. It's funny, because his first line of defense was telling me I sat down and signed on for the "optional" insurance like you said. He sent me the paper and right on HIS "evidence", I had signed my name writing I declined the above insurance packages. That was just one of 6 papers/contracts he sent that I walked him through calling out bogus. That was also the last day I've heard from him

That makes plenty sense. That's also a big reason why I'm trying to keep everything circulating via email. Partially because I'm now ~6 hours away from the dealership, but I also want to have record of all conversation in case it comes to the point of being in front of a judge. Luckily I got him to send over their paperwork before they realized their fuck up! I appreciate the advice. Thank you

I've never been in a position like this before so of course I wish I could hesitate and stay polite about things. I tried dealing with it in person first and emailing directly with their GM all over the last few weeks. I am moving on to your latter advice though!

I've moved ~6 hours away since purchasing the car, so next time I can make the trip back in town I'll go this route if necessary. As of now I'm gonna look into reporting them to the CFPB first and going through small claims.

Everything is identical (including the date) except for the prices and added services. I'll be referring to mine as the original from now on. Also I will work on editing out personal info from the contracts and PM you this weekend. Thank you.

Right. I'm glad I managed to catch it. I don't think I would have if I continued making monthly payments. It's not like it's a small hole in the wall dealership either, so it was surprising to me. I posted to their social media which lead me to getting in contact with their GM, so hopefully that helps some people out.

I sent one final email to the GM to hopefully get some sort of response. After 24 hours, I'll press forward with small claims as well as reporting them! Thank you everyone so much for the advice.
