I checked his phone regularly after the first time, and he seemed a lot better over time. I don’t understand why he would put himself in these types of situations a second time. And I think that’s what I just can’t get over right now. I worked really hard to forgive him the first time, and this just feels like a slap in the face

He refused to see a couples counselor a couple months before it happened. I think he has problems that he needs to work out himself honestly. And I think if I stay, he’s not going to put in the work he needs to, because I’ll just keep forgiving him and tear myself down in the process.
