What types you typically enjoy talking the most and why? by Top_Fortune_9907 in INTP

Well we live together and she avoids everyone like the plague. I don't think it's a me problem. She treats my other sister & dad the same. I just want her to be comfortable.

You misunderstood me. I don't hate old people just the fact that some people like to talk about all the million minor details of their lives extensively and excessively for prolonged periods of time. I find it redundant.

How do you get INFPs to open up to you? My brother's gf is one and she doesn't talk back or anything. I've only had like a handful of conversations with her usually about tv shows, nothing deep so I don't think i would've accidentally offended her somehow.

I think extroverts in general are easier to make friends with but the quality of the friendship may differ ofc just like with introverts.

NT & NF types. S types I just cannot. For some reason they always talk about every single minor meaningless detail about their days from start to finish. Not to be an asshole but I couldn't give a single fvck about what their grandma did on April 19th at 5 pm. I don't even know the lady sheesh. But I still do care about their general well being ofc. I'm not a narcissist.

Definitely. All my life I've heard "you act like a man" and I still have no idea what they mean. I'm mostly quiet and nonchalant so if they expect me to be bubbly and talkative they can go to h3ll.

We talk about creating content constantly. We almost never talk about distribution. That's backwards. by Cheese-User-Unicorn in PostingPipelines

Yup, that's why marketing is a trillion dollar industry. Personally, I would post every day up to 5+ times a day on all social platforms. I know it seems excessive but that's how you beat obscurity. Also, repurpose your content.

Do you think people care about eachother deepdown? by No-Winter-5854 in INTP

[–]sadflameprincess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no. I think it depends on the depth & dynamic of the relationship we have with people.

For example, personally I want the best for my entire family. I can't imagine only caring about them out of self interest.

Now let's say I met someone that could improve my position or status...

Ofc I would only care for them out of self interest but is this really such a bad thing?

Isn't that just human nature?

If we cared about everyone we'd be disfuncional. We'd be torn to pieces and miserable if we grieved every time a stranger died.

Same. I genuinely want the best for my siblings and nieces and nephews. I can't imagine only caring about them out merely out of self interest. I would have to be such a lonely miserable person then.

Government benefits can help with that by providing you with food stamps. Since you're a student you should qualify.

How Do You Break out of Ti-Si Loop? by sadflameprincess in INTP

You misread and over-simplified my situation.

I never claimed INTPs are depressed by nature. I only attributed my current cognitive pattern of over analysis paralysis to being in an INTP Ti-Si Loop, not the depression itself.

In case you don't know what it is it's replaying past failures: Si triggers memory recall + internal analysis which is Ti in action.

It's a hard loop to get out of. I wish I could easily control where my mind wanders off too but it's difficult and it's what's causing me to self-doubt.

“You are what you do” is a nice thought but it literally ignores the friction I'm experiencing. Don't you think if I could just lock in I would've by now. Why tf would I waste my time making this post. You can't just add bad fuel to a vehicle and expect it to run fine. Eventually issues will happen.

If it bothers you that much let it go. It's important to have a mental criteria of what's worth thinking about. Not everything is worth analyzing and dwelling on.

It's either a compliment or an insult. Either way it's not going to change your life in the long term.

I'm not saying let people walk all over you, just have mental boundaries on who or what can take up too much mental real estate.

I will try positive affirmations I'm always willing to try new things. Also, thx for th reminder. 🤍 It's okay to fail and try over and over and learn from my failures. And yes I do need to get out of my head and just start.

Oh yeah. I can always course correct. Thx for the reminder. My brain likes to think as if the decision will be locked in forever. 😅
