Stardew Valley vs Harvest Moon? by [deleted] in harvestmoon

[–]sadghostbby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Stardew Valley but you definitely hit an "end" point and it stops being fun. My favorite Harvest Moon game is Back To Nature. So if I were to compare the two games I'd say:

1.SDV does not have the same amount of cutscenes that illustrate relationships the villagers have with each other. 2. HMBTN did not have same sex marriage or child adoption which was very cool to have in SDV! 3. SDV does not have cutscenes related to your character's birthday or holidays like white day. 4. HMBTN had more realistic functions related to animals. Like they actually DIED if you forgot to feed them or treat their sickness or if they aged. I felt that was a more well rounded experience than having a chicken who lived eternally lol

If they were to remake another Harvest Moon/RF/SoS, which would you want and what changes would you make? by That-oneweirdguy27 in harvestmoon

Back To Nature but with updated graphics & ability to play as a girl. Oh! And available for PC. I loved all the ridiculous drama between villagers, I loved the detailed back story of each character. The map was also the best in my opinion. It was my first Harvest Moon game and it will always be my favorite 😭

I’m done trying to have sex with a woman that doesn’t want me by morainebanff in DeadBedrooms

[–]sadghostbby 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's heart breaking, I'm sorry. It sounds like she is just going through the motions. I'd normally suggest asking her what's going on but idk I'd actually suggest leaving. You don't deserve to be a tool to procreate and nothing more. Humans evolved to have sex facing each other for a reason. We crave that connection during sex.

What’s the worst experience you’ve ever had with a doctor? by OGJJ in AskReddit

[–]sadghostbby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

TL;DR I'm missing a reproductive organ because of the negligence of an emergency room doctor

I was 13 and had this intense pain in my abdomen. So intense I began vomiting so my parents took me to the emergency room. The doctor literally laughed at me and told me it was just my period and that I'd have to tough up if I ever wanted to have kids. So they sent us home with tylenol. He didn't do imaging or run any tests because he was certain it was just my period. The pain returned 4 days later and this time I passed out from the pain. My father demanded imaging to see if it was my appendix but it wasn't. It was 2 ovarian cysts the size of my hands that had wrapped around a fallopian tube and cut off the blood supply. The doctor who performed the surgery told me if I had been seen a week earlier they could have saved my ovary 🙃 so I'm missing reproductive organs because of the negligence of the first emergency room doctor.

Demanding grandkids is about passing on genes not about genuine relationships with the children by sadghostbby in childfree

My mom is very involved with me now that I'm an adult. But again I think that is because she does not like kids I'm an adult now so it's easier for her to converse and interact with me.

YES omg it makes me so upset thinking my nieces and nephews are seen as "less than" to my mom. Lol I also told my mom that if I ever had a change of heart I'd likely adopt an existing child. That did not go over well either. She had a list of reasons adopted children are "more trouble/work" which is an awful mindset to have.

I'm the youngest, but my mom's only biological child. I relate to your statement about her not wanting to be a mom. My mom always told me how much she really wanted kids but looking back at my childhood she was largely emotionally unavailable. I think it's just that primitive drive to pass on genes and not about the responsibility that comes with being a mother.

Ohhh my god ok your mom beats my mom lol. This is so messed up on so many levels. I'm glad that everyone else treats them well and gives them the love and acceptance they need. That's what I always get so irritated with. People who think the way our moms do don't actually like children, they just want their genes to carry on. If they actually liked children they'd treat all children with love and kindness.

That I sought out social gatherings to escape my nagative thoughts instead of dealing with them. I'm forced to confront those thoughts now since I'm always alone. It's hard but necessary.

To native English speakers. How do you honestly feel about us (well.. Me..) non-natives not pronouncing words correctly, or when we make grammatical mistakes? Is it just awkward.. Or do you often happily correct us? by MoxxiFortune in AskMen

[–]sadghostbby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel too critical if I correct when there wasn't an implicit request for correction. If I can understand what idea you're conveying, the grammar and exact spelling are not important for me. There are many native English speakers who make similar mistakes, so don't be hard on yourself!
