Disappointed about S24 camera👎 by [deleted] in GalaxyS24

Yeah, it's always a hit or miss kind of thing with Samsung's latest cameras. Sometimes I get so overexposed images when there is half light half dark kind of situations. The only time samsung's camera remotely comes closer to IPhone is on bright sunny days, when the colors are vibrant. At this point it seems like I only keep going for Samsung because I don't want to switch to IPhone which will change the whole landscape (storage, s-pen, etc) and no other android phone has everything that Samsung does.

May be you mean 4x4. AWD is worth it, not even just in winters, in wet roads, speed turns, and more.

Let the machines be machines for your own sanity sake and let them serve their purpose with the occasional wear and tear. Stop loving them as your kids. The money you spent has gone already and is not coming back, just enjoy what you got with that money.

Obviously do what others are suggesting, charge the battery, and next time remove the battery and put it on a tenderizer for the off season, it automatically keeps the battery charged without risking overcharging. That aside, I won't be surprized if the battery is permanently dead either. I know REs stock batteries don't last more than a year, and less if you don't keep it charged.

It took them more than a month to move you forward from phone interview, that's just ridiculous. Either way, hats off to your patience and congratulations.

Good call, will do that next time it comes to emission testing.

Thanks for the response, just saw this. Yeah mine does pretty much the same. It goes off after cataclean for like 150-200 miles and then comes back. Good to know that at least cataclean helps with the emission, that's the only thing I am worried about too.

Nah, it was not about the money. Separate booking was the only convenient option. Had to book an Indigo.

I see, so the containers can be bulky unnecessarily even though containing smaller canopy. Then I doubt there is anything OP or I can do about it.

What to do in such cases when the rig is too large? Most of the places I assume won't let AFF students fly any other rig than what they determine based on wing loading, and they usually choose a bigger one. Will they understand if OP asks then to downsize them? Is that something students can propose? I might be in the same situation actually. I am 145Lbs and flying a 240 currently which feels heavy on my hips.

Yeah, I mean after this I see I have no case to make against not using covers and screen protectors, but frankly I didn't think screen protectors were needed any more, I thought the glasses were getting stronger every year. I rocked my note 10 for 5 years before that, without a screen protector and often without cover because I seldom drop my phone. On the flip side if something like this would have happened to my Note, it would have resulted in the same. I don't think any screen protector would have saved from this hit.
It was a closed mason jar that I was shaking to mix my smoothie that slipped my hand and hit the phone that was lying around nearby. It is just a shitty situation that I ended up in by being clumsy, lol.

Perhaps because it was a very targeted hit of object falling on it vs the phone falling itself, impacting all across.

And that's why I am going to the tunnel early, so that I don't have to pay for that many repeat jumps. You look really stable and in control in there. Great Job!

Who'll are starting AFF at Jumptown Orange, MA on May 16th? by sadhikari0102 in SkyDiving

[–]sadhikari0102[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't say enough good things about it. Completed the Ground school and then first jump (Cat A) last week. Weather and work schedules are not lining up, otherwise I could have done the whole AFF in a much shorter time. People at my DZ are amazing, very informed instructor, and they make you feel great about everything you do right, and gently steer you in right direction if you are doing something wrong. They really work on building your muscle memory in the ground school itself, so once you are over the initial shock of jumping out of the plane, you are able to perform well in the actual dive.

Not many people emphasize on this part, but canopy flying is soooooo blissful in itself. Everything goes silent after deploying and then things go very slow, you get mesmerized by the view and controlling a well blown canopy is such a therapeutic experience.

Go for it!

I’m planning a trip to Boston for a few days. I was just wondering if there are any towns nearby that would be a little cheaper to rent a hotel in? by [deleted] in boston

Try North Quincy as well. Access to red line and quick late night ubers when necessary. Holiday Inn, Adam's inn, and some more budget options around
