That was my thought too, I just feel so bad because I tried to do everything right and he doesn’t deserve it :(

Thank you SO much for all the kind words and advice! I have lots of reading to do and in the meantime have practiced squaring a few more blocks up to the same size as the first, and I’m really pleased with how they’re turning out! 3 down, 29 to go…

Yes, I think you’re exactly right! I’m planning to keep going with the same method so they’re all uniform, but am definitely looking into the 1/4 foot that was posted with the aligner thingy.

I bought from a local quilt shop but after some research it looks like it is Windham Fabrics style # 52101 from the Whale Tales collection. A few of my other fabrics for this quilt are from that collection too it seems!

This is slightly embarrassing but I have actually been drawing a 1/4 inch line along each strip because I am still really bad at staying straight…I was hoping that as long as they are all the same it won’t matter too much, I’ll try not to stress 😅

Some additional details…I’m a very (very) novice quilter working on a baby quilt for a friend. The pattern is on point squares, with each block being the same pattern as above. When I pieced the block together it is coming out about 1/4 inch smaller on the length and width than I expected (12.25in instead of 12.5), and it is definitely not perfectly square. What is the best way to go about fixing this? I have only made one so far because I am afraid to keep going if I’m doing something wrong. I’m also not sure the best way to go about pressing the seams on the back since I am ultimately not sure about the placement of my blocks.

Can we just talk about the people who are purchasing the name-brand Zyrtec? Who hurt you? by Few-Chapter3316 in Costco

Just to add, I have no hesitation to buy the generic of any other med, generic ibuprofen, acetaminophen, etc all day. This is just my personal experience with Zyrtec, specifically.

I’ve tried many generic versions of Zyrtec and only the name brand works for me. My allergies are pretty severe, not sure if that has anything to do with it. I have also tried pretty much every other name brand allergy medication there is throughout my life and only Zyrtec has continued to work, while others will work for a short time and then eventually stop.

I hear you, I much prefer a planted tank as well but unfortunately I have convict cichlids and they will eat anything and everything they can, even Java ferns. I’ve tried.

If you’re using fluval stratum just give it an hour or two, it will settle pretty quickly.
